After thinking about it for 3 years and visiting clinics for consultations, I had nose surgery last December at a clinic near Nonhyeon Station. I first felt drawn to them because everyone on the staff was kind, and the director also pinpointed only the areas I had been concerned about and gave me a good consultation, so I made up my mind right away. As I wanted, the front view looks neat and delicate, and the side line turned out naturally, so I’m satisfied. At first I had been thinking about silicone, but since I already have some nasal bridge height, they advised against it, saying that if I put in silicone it could become an Avatar nose(?). I had also been thinking about alar base reduction, but they honestly told me it wasn’t necessary, so I didn’t do it, and I’m glad I didn’t. Since it was done using my cartilage + autologous dermis, I’m not worried about side effects, so I feel at ease for now. After the nose surgery, I had no pain and really hardly any bruising. They put on something like a silicone splint, so daily life wasn’t too difficult either. The surgery options were implant-free surgery, use of ear cartilage, hump trimming, osteotomy, bulbous nose correction, and dermis from behind the ear, and the cost came out in the high 3 million won range. The side lines are different on both sides, but my central axis had originally been somewhat deviated to the left, so I’m just accepting it haha At first it bothered me quite a lot, but maybe I got used to it, or maybe the swelling went down and it settled into place. Anyway, I feel like the line has gotten prettier, so I’m glad the parts that bothered me are gone. For those who already have a bit of nasal bridge height, I recommend getting consultations at 1-2 clinics that specialize in implant-free rhinoplasty!!
