Hello. After getting eye surgery, I joined to get information about autologous dermal rhinoplasty.
It has been 6 months since I got double eyelid surgery.
My eyelids are thin, so I had non-incisional double eyelid surgery, and because of ptosis, I had eye-shape correction with threads.
I had a consultation at a plastic surgery clinic in Busan and it was totally bad... I guess the coordinator was the doctor, because the actual doctors didn’t consult with me... So I made up my mind, went up to Seoul, and had consultations at three places as my last attempt. All three recommended non-incisional double eyelid surgery and ptosis correction.
The doctor who operated on me said there was a possibility the fold could come undone with the non-incisional method, but still recommended it. When I asked why, he said my eyes were suitable for the non-incisional method, so there was no need to take on the risks of an incision from the very first surgery. That made me trust him immediately, so I had it done there.
It still hasn’t come undone ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ He said he would do revision surgery if it did come undone, but... I really hope it never does.... I don’t know what will happen later, but when I went for a follow-up 2 weeks later, he said the double eyelid seemed a little big... (I asked for it to be big, but in the end it was medium...) and that it was swelling... so I was extremely anxious, but because my home is in Busan, I got lazy and didn’t go back after that.
After the swelling went down, because my eyes protrude a little, the double eyelid folded inward, so it’s an in-out line but looks like an inner line, and the outer part goes in like Lee Yeon-hee’s eyes. It looks natural and like my own eyes, so I’m completely satisfied.
As a side note, I’m an engineering student, so I have a lot of male friends... These guys don’t know I had it doneㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I wondered if maybe nothing had changed about me, but that wasn’t it. I met some older guys I know after a long time, and after looking right at my face, they examined it this way and that from uncomfortably close and said I seemed a little different from before, and that I looked pretty, pretty, so I felt really good. Meanwhile, they were wondering, “Did your skin get better? Is it because your hair got longer?” but they never mentioned double eyelid surgery... Men really do seem to have poor observation skills... Except for my male cousins, no one notices...
Even my mom, who was so against it, now says I only need to get my nose doneㅋㅋ That side note got long.
I think getting double eyelid surgery was totally the right decision, and I’m 100% satisfied that I did it after thinking about it for 3 years.
