Desired surgeries: Incisional double eyelid surgery (one eye undone, raising the line on the other eye), lateral canthoplasty/lower canthoplasty So far I’ve gone to two consultations (ㅇㅍㅌㄴ, ㅁㅅㄹㅇ), and I’m planning to visit more.. 1. ㅇㅍㅌㄴ No consultation fee Incisional double-eyelid surgery + lateral canthoplasty + ptosis correction (recommended, optional) They were extremely kind. Because my eye structure tends to loosen easily, during incision they would make multiple fixation points to make it come undone as little as possible Ptosis correction is optional but recommended. → Makes the eyes look clearer, less loosening of the eyelids They didn’t mention canthoplasty, so I asked! Epicanthoplasty was not recommended / lateral canthoplasty is possible (slight incision at the outer corner) Since there isn’t much existing scarring, even if they make a new line it won’t be very noticeable I liked the line they held for me, and I also liked the before-and-after photos they showed me in the PPT. Even though the day-5 photos were incision cases, they really weren’t swollen. Two surgeries a day, sit up during surgery to check the line, 1 hour for incisional double-eyelid surgery and 1 hour for lateral canthoplasty Because it’s one director doing only two surgeries a day, the price is on the expensive side, and the lateral canthoplasty was more expensive than I expected. I’m thinking I won’t do ptosis correction.. They weren’t unkind, but they weren’t exactly kind either. They felt a bit sensitive. At first they said the existing line had been set too low → then said the current line isn’t bad → if they strengthen the fixation of the line on the right eye, the double-eyelid line will show very slightly / the left will be done with the same line I was a bit doubtful whether making the existing line stronger would actually make the double eyelid visible.. I felt like it might get buried instead.. The line they held seemed slightly higher than the existing line, but they said it was the existing line.. I didn’t like it because I felt my satisfaction would be low if they operated exactly along the existing line ㅠㅠ I said I wanted lateral canthoplasty, but they strongly refused. They don’t do lateral canthoplasty in the first place, and said lateral canthoplasty is a procedure that makes it too obvious you had plastic surgery and ruins the balance. They said what determines the eye shape isn’t the outer line but the inner/front line, so if I get double-eyelid surgery, the front will open up and the eye shape will change. They said my eyes are very uneven. Not that the eyes look uneven because one side came undone, but that originally the left side has stronger eye-opening strength, so the left eye is larger. (At 1., they said the left eye has weaker eye-opening strength, so it was the complete opposite and I was confused..) They weren’t recommending ptosis correction, but said I need to be aware of that before surgery. They said after surgery the left eye may be slightly bigger. Even just incisional double-eyelid surgery cost the same as incision + lateral canthoplasty at clinic 1.. It was the most expensive.. The consultant seemed robotic, so it was a bit scary.
