Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

Osteotomy + hump nose, complete Gore-Tex removal and minimal septal reconstruction, day 8…

Before <before surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> After <after surgery> After <after removal> After <after removal> After <after removal> I had surgery 4 months ago with septal cartilage + osteotomy + hump nose correction + Gore-Tex. My nose had been manipulated a lot. Honestly, if I looked only at the nose shape, it was pretty. Very much so. But it felt like a woman’s nose had been put on a man’s face, so it looked very unnatural, and because it was raised too much, my overall impression looked really strong. My eyes also looked very pulled together, and I don’t know why they raised my nostrils into triangular shapesㅠ It looked so obviously surgical that even those oblivious guys asked me, “Did you get a nose job?” Also, I like sports and smoking, so I kept worrying about my nose. When I drank alcohol it would swell a lot, when I smoked the nasal bridge would tingle, and in the morning my nose would get very swollen and sometimes turn red, so I wondered if it was inflammation. I live outside Seoul but kept going to Seoul way too oftenㅠㅠ I also heard that foreign material inside the nose can eventually cause abnormal symptoms, so I went to ㅂㄹㅁ hospital, and they said it seemed like inflammation and recommended removal. Professor ㅈㅎㄹ originally had a packed surgery schedule, but since it was almost a simple removal, he fit me inㅠㅠ I’m just grateful. At first, the professor said we should just do a simple removal, but because my nose had been manipulated a lot, he said it could be risky and there could be tip upturning, so he suggested using ear fascia + ear cartilage. But honestly, if I used ear cartilage, the next option would be rib cartilage, so the day before surgery I said to please just do a complete removal if possible, and if the shaved-down area was too severe, then use ear fascia and ear cartilage. I went into the operating room and was wearing the oxygen mask, but I removed the mask with my own hand and told him again to please just do a complete removal if possible. In the end, he shaved the septal support at the nasal tip and placed it only on the bridge. He said the shaved area was a bit severe. Thankfully, the shape is pretty and natural, and now I’m completely satisfied. There is almost no columellar scar. My nasal congestion is almost gone, and the triangular nostrils have returned to normal. The surgery cost about 4 million won including hospitalization. I’m not a broker. 500,000 won was covered by insurance. I’m leaving this because I thought there might be many people worrying like I did. I was also reading this community right up until I went into surgery.. I don’t like doing bothersome things, but I’m leaving this. It did get lower, but other people don’t really notice. My nasal tip was originally droopy too, but after removal there is a slight upturn, so I think I actually like it better. If you’re curious about anything, please leave a comment.
