Don’t Get Ptosis Correction Lightly!

When I had just entered university, I got my first ptosis correction at H**. But getting surgery recklessly the day after my consultation, without much information, was the beginning of a nightmare. The outline double-eyelid line itself was made prettily, but I actually became unable to open my eyes properly. For someone like me, who has weak eye muscles, they should have made a thin inner double eyelid and corrected it properly, but I trusted the doctor and got an outline. After that, even when opening my eyes with my forehead, I couldn’t open them even 50%, and I developed severe astigmatism too. What’s more, after the surgery, when I tried to meet the doctor, they just said it was fine and cut me off at the counseling director level. I was speechless when the counseling director said my eyes looked so pretty even though I couldn’t open them halfway. Three years later, I had surgery with the director at a nearby ㅇㄱㅈㅅㅇ. I believed it would be the last time, but I ended up with mucosal eversion, severe eye redness, eye pain, and even decreased vision. The fixation was so excessive that the double-eyelid line is bumpy and it isn’t even visible when I close my eyes. Was I too greedy? I’m now too scared of revision surgery and feel like giving up..
