As a surgical side effect, the fat under my eyes protruded severely. Ha.. It was to the point where I couldn’t go around without a mask, so as soon as I was able to have surgery, I consulted at 3 places famous for under-eye fat repositioning, but none of them really appealed to me. The prices were inconsistent too. Looking at reviews, I saw that side effects from under-eye fat repositioning surgery were more serious than I expected, so I thought I should take my time, visit many places, and decide carefully. In the end, I went to 7 places, and after consulting at the last hospital, I immediately paid the reservation deposit. I had already seen many before-and-after review photos in this community, and after consulting with the doctor, I felt confident. The surgery I wanted to have in December ended up being done in February, but I’m really so satisfied. It feels like I got 5 years back.! If you’re debating it, don’t drag it out and at least get a consultation. There are many reviews, but I don’t think many people wrote about the recovery process, so I’ll write it roughly. I had under-eye fat repositioning and fat removal together. Day 2~Day 5: The tape under my eyes felt stuffy. My eyes were a bit bloodshot and swelling came up a bit. There was so much eye discharge that I could barely see ahead. Yellow bruising appeared around the whole eye area. On Day 5, I removed the tape myself, and it hurt a lot. Day 6~Day 14: The stitches inside my eyes bothered me, so I noticed them whenever I blinked. A lot of eye discharge came out, and my eyes were dry, so artificial tears were essential. After removing the tape, most of the swelling disappeared. I felt that there was a lot of numbness in the surgical area, and the areas where fat was removed felt contracted and hard. Day 15~Day 21: The bruising almost disappeared, and I didn’t look like someone who had surgery. The stitches seemed to have dissolved inside and came out with the eye discharge. (Refreshing) The sensation in the surgical area still felt strange and hard, so I kept applying warm compresses. Day 22~Day 40: Sensation under the eyes gradually returned, but sensation in the surgical incision area had not fully returned yet. I could feel the areas where fat was removed were hard and contracted. Day 41~Day 52, now: Sensation in the surgical area has returned a lot, but it needs more time to return completely. The areas where fat was removed are still hard, and when touched, they feel slightly numb/tingly. When I close and open my eyes with force, it feels a bit awkward. Especially when I yawn or open my mouth, the fat-removal areas feel stiff. It isn’t very bothersome or painful. Since there was so much fat to remove, the consultation manager explained it well, so I’m not too worried. Because the surgical result is clean and satisfying, I want to get it done for my parents too.
