I had a consultation with Director Kim Eung-hyun. At other clinics, they told me to do this and that, but here they advised against it and recommended doing only the minimum, so I felt there was no pressure. However, the answers to my questions didn’t seem to come from a doctor’s clinical experience or confidence; they were all uniform? only answers anyone could give, so I had some doubts about responsibility and trust. I respect that doctors always need to answer while considering the worst-case scenario, but when I asked about side effects or anxiety after surgery, even though they could have answered, “That could happen, but in my experience it is very rare and you don’t need to worry,” the only answer I got was, “All surgeries may or may not turn out that way.” So I found it difficult to trust them as my attending doctor.
