This is a review of incisional ptosis correction and double eyelid surgery. I did have inner double eyelids, but my eyes looked sleepy and tired, and the multiple creases above my eyelids were gradually getting worse, so I was looking into double eyelid surgery. An acquaintance had good results from buried-suture surgery, so I was referred by that acquaintance and had a consultation at a plastic surgery clinic. At other hospitals, they said it was up to me whether to choose buried-suture or incisional surgery, but when I had the consultation here, they firmly recommended incision, so somehow I trusted them. I was worried I might end up with sausage eyes, so we didn’t set the line boldly and made it as natural as possible. Even so, I was worried, and since it was my first surgery, I was very nervous. But the director told me to trust him, and the nurses were kind throughout the surgery, so I felt reassured. It has been 3 months, and it is becoming more and more natural, and I like the surgical result. My eyes feel much clearer, and the sunken areas of my eyelids also feel filled in, maybe because the director said he moved(?) some surrounding fatty tissue during surgery, so I’m satisfied.
