I had always had clear complaints about my nose, and it was the hump and the bulbous tip. My face isn’t the kind that stands out too much, and it doesn’t suit a flashy line either, but the tip of my nose was always round and blunt, so it felt somehow unfinished? Every time I looked in the mirror, I thought it would be nice if just this part could be refined. I had the surgery at Marble and was treated by Director Kim Jun-hyung. A friend had done it there first and it settled in so naturally, so after the consultation the atmosphere felt comfortable, and the director explained things very realistically. There was no push toward an overly flashy result, and he clearly organized what should be changed to improve my face as it is now, which drew me in. For the surgery, the smallest silicone implant was placed in the bridge, and the tip was corrected with both septal cartilage and ear cartilage for the bulbous nose. Mm.. at first I was a bit worried especially about how much swelling there would be during recovery and how stiff the tip would feel. I didn’t want anything obvious, so I went as natural as possible, but right after surgery, looking in the mirror, I thought maybe it had gone wrong Up to week 1, there was quite a bit of swelling and it felt a little awkward, so I was anxious. When I got into week 2, as the swelling went down, the line definitely started to show, and from weeks 3 to 4 the shape gradually became more refined, which put my mind at ease. In particular, the stiffness at the tip has softened a lot now, and most of the big swelling is gone. People around me even say it doesn’t look like I had surgery, so when I hear that, I also think, “Ah, it’s settling in now.” Overall, the line isn’t flashy or high, but it has that neatly refined feeling I wanted!! so I’m satisfied. Honestly, I’m also looking forward to it becoming even prettier as the swelling keeps going down, and even if it stays as it is now, I think it was a good surgery. If there’s someone like me who was worried about the nose tip or a bulbous nose, when choosing a hospital, I think it’s really important not to go for a flashy line at all costs, but to go to a place that suggests a direction that suits your face.
