Before <Before Silhouette Soft>Before <Swelling on the day of Silhouette Soft; right side is swelling one week later>Before <When I went to the clinic for a check-up two months after Silhouette Soft>Before <Had Silhouette Soft in early February, started orthodontic adjustment at the end of February, photo from early June>I got Silhouette Soft in early February, urgently, 3 weeks before starting orthodontic adjustment. It’s partial orthodontic treatment for my lower teeth, but since I’m older, they told me to be careful because if you get orthodontics when you’re older, the elasticity around the deep cheek area can collapse noticeably, so I whined in advance before orthodontics and asked them to take responsibility for it. When they were designing with my 3D-modeled face on the screen, they designed it with 3 lines, but when they designed it on my actual face, they changed it, saying 2 lines seemed enough. Since I was going to correct the lower teeth, mainly affecting the deep cheek area, they designed it mainly to pull the lower area upward/tight, and I absolutely did not want my cheekbones to look lifted or the cheekbone line to change.
Silhouette Soft or other threads should be used to refine the shape more beautifully when the face already has some elasticity, not as something that can solve everything with threads alone when there is no elasticity, and they were worried because many places do it that way. They said it was a relief that I had consistently managed my skin elasticity. Don’t do threads alone if you don’t have elasticity. When the first digit of my age changed, I had especially done a huge amount of skin care in the fourth quarter of the previous year, so my elasticity was better than ever at that time...
I had 2 lines on the left and 2 lines on the right, and for about a week there was some strange swelling-like feeling around the deep cheek area. After about a week, it got better. Three weeks later, when I had orthodontic treatment, I didn’t feel any foreign-body sensation or discomfort keeping my mouth open at all, but in the beginning it did feel kind of strange. Every time I opened my mouth, it felt like something was moving under the skin, ughhh... For about a week, let’s not laugh too widely... The pulling force is about 5 times stronger than mint threads. The strength is seriously amazing.
After extractions, my teeth moved much faster than I expected. The tooth movement itself, and my teeth moving inward overall, really did make the elasticity around the deep cheek area collapse. Wow, if I hadn’t prepared in advance, I almost would have become an old lady right away. Everyone who is thinking about orthodontics at a middle age like me, please be especially careful... Let’s prepare in advance... Tomorrow I’m finally going in for my 4th orthodontic tightening. When I go tomorrow, I should ask them to compare it with the CT from last time and explain it to me. I need to know whether my teeth are going in more or whether they will stop here. It’s only been 3 months, but my protruding teeth have improved so dramatically that I need to check whether this pace is normal too...
Since I’m doing it with the vice director, she’s so busy that she doesn’t explain much. Her hands are definitely fast and good, but there’s not enough time to hear explanations... But I’m urgent too!!! Tomorrow I’ll definitely hold onto her and ask.
Anyway, after I got Silhouette Soft, someone I know said they wanted to go with me, so I took them along. She was a woman in her 50s. Apparently other places had recommended 6 lines, 8 lines of Silhouette Soft and so on, but there is the head director there, Director Cha, and as soon as he saw her, he said exactly the same as me: 2 lines and 2 lines, that that would be enough if the design was done well. He said it would actually be much better to do that and then do Ultherapy once more, which she had already been doing regularly. As soon as the director left, she said, “Until now, there had only been one doctor who properly diagnosed my skin, but now there are two.” It somehow felt like a meeting between masters lololol
This got long because I wondered if there might be anyone middle-aged thinking about orthodontics. Silhouette Soft is good if it’s done well. You really don’t need to force yourself to get a lot of lines. They say some places recommend 6 lines, 8 lines... Please run away ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
