I had wanted to get it done since middle school, but I heard so many people say that nose surgery can be very noticeable, so I really thought about it for nearly 10 years. I had a bulbous nose, but my bridge was high, so I couldn’t have silicone inserted, and I had also read a lot of posts saying that noses like that are difficult to correct. After thinking about it for a long time, I finally decided to do it because I wanted to get rid of my complex, and it is honestly one of the best things I have ever done in my life. I think I had almost everything done except silicone. Osteotomy, nasal tip cartilage suturing, fat removal, alar reduction, hump shaving, and they also said they would slightly raise the angle of my nose during surgery. At first, I was extremely worried. I knew the swelling could go down unevenly, but when it actually went down differently and made my nose look crooked, I felt like I was going crazy.. I wondered if the osteotomy had gone wrong, whether I would have to do it again since revision nose surgery is said to cost twice as much... After those truly nerve-racking days passed and the swelling went down a bit, my bridge became straight again. I went out after ten days, but honestly, I was still quite swollen then too. Still, I was able to meet my boyfriend just fine after 10 days, and since school started a month later, I went to school without any problem. I think I really felt the effect of correcting the bulbous nose around the 3-month mark. And now that it has been a year, I am truly happy. Because it is said to be a difficult nose surgery, I had a lot of concerns, and since none of my friends around me had done it, I worried a lot too. But I think it was such a relief that I found the courage back then. However, if you are very sensitive, I think you should keep in mind that although it is temporary, you may experience a lot of mental stress after surgery. And I think the more natural you make it, the less regret you have. Looking natural was my first goal. Now, if I don’t say anything, nobody knows, and I just hear people say my nose is pretty. If I say I had surgery, they are surprised. When I had a bulbous nose, I remember desperately searching for information, wondering how a nose like mine could be corrected, so I am leaving this post. I hope everyone finds a hospital that suits them well and gets the nose they want.
