I had the procedure done a total of 2 times at a hospital in Suwon that is said to be famous for Hiko: once 3 years ago and once 1 year ago. I was scared surgery would look obvious, so I got Hiko, but in the end, I got rhinoplasty two months ago.
First of all, for the Hiko procedure, they apply numbing cream, and when you get the anesthetic injection it hurts so, so much. Even with anesthesia, it hurts during the procedure. I kept crying, and it hurt for a day afterward too. I actually think rhinoplasty was less painful.
Hiko does make the shape come out nicely, but as time passes, the nasal tip drops, so the side profile isn’t pretty, and it isn’t permanent. That’s why I had surgery, but if your nose isn’t too low, just getting Hiko can make it prettier without looking obvious. Even though it does drop over time, I don’t think it completely goes back to the original nose, so I think it has its own pros and cons!
