It’s exactly day 40 since my revision rhinoplasty. Is it the alar cartilage? Or should I call it the nasal wall? This area looks like it’s slightly protruding. Is it cartilage show-through? The area is kind of large. When I touch the right side, it feels sunken in and seems fine, but only the left side is like this. As the swelling goes down, it seems more visible. It looks a bit white, and when I looked it up, they said scar tissue is usually like that. Could that area be scar tissue? Is there anyone here with something similar to me? Would it get better if I take Rizaben or get scar-tissue injections,, I really don’t want to open up my nose again. Oh, and is it common for a hump not to be completely corrected even after silicone is inserted? The hump-like feeling is only on the left side too. Was the cartilage placement on the left side done wrong? ㅠㅠ
보쿠맘 I was like that too, but after getting scar-tissue injections about 3–4 times, it went away!
하이ㅇ이 [@보쿠맘] Thanks for the comment ㅠㅠ I should try getting scar-tissue injections too.
우와유와 Honestly, I’m not sure. If you think something seems off, ask the hospital.
하이ㅇ이 [@우와유와] I do have a follow-up next week, but I asked everyone here first.
나츠슈라 It’s exactly the same as me!!! But when I went to the hospital for a follow-up around day 40, they said it’s best to avoid scar-tissue injections as much as possible, so I’m waiting ㅜ.. Now it’s been about 70 days, and it has gotten slightly smaller, but it still bothers me so much......
하이ㅇ이 [@나츠슈라] Can I ask why it’s better not to get scar-tissue injections?? It’s the first time I’ve heard that ㅠㅠ
나츠슈라 [@하이ㅇ이] Skin indentation is one issue, but they said that since the nose was raised with cartilage after all, if things go wrong, scar-tissue injections can cause even a small amount of cartilage damage or resorption.. So they said that when people feel like their nasal tip has just dropped after some time has passed following a scar-tissue injection, it can actually be because of the scar-tissue injection. They repeatedly warned me that I absolutely shouldn’t go somewhere else separately to get it done.
하이ㅇ이 [@나츠슈라] Oh really?? Now I’m worried,, Is yours like that in the same area as mine too?? I also wonder whether that area has much to do with the nasal tip. Nose surgery is so difficult ㅠ
나츠슈라 [@하이ㅇ이] For me, it’s exactly that area on the right.. I didn’t even have severe swelling at first, so when scar tissue first formed, it felt so bulging that I wondered if it was inflammation and even urgently took antibiotics while traveling. So I went to the hospital where I had surgery and asked, and they said they do sometimes give scar-tissue injections for double eyelid surgery, but for the nose it’s best to avoid them as much as possible, so I should wait. Now I’ve waited about another month, and when I touch it, it does feel a little smaller, so I’m wondering if I need to watch it for 6 months. Everyone says they’re not sure, but it’s stress that only I know about..ㅜㅜ? I didn’t have swelling either, so I was completely satisfied in the beginning ㅜㅜ Waiting for the scar tissue to shrink is even harder ㅠㅠ.. But when I look it up, quite a few people have gotten the injections, so I’m confused too. You should definitely go to the hospital and ask! About things like side effects of scar-tissue injections.

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation
I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
