Conclusion first: very, very dissatisfied. The consultation lacked sincerity.
What I wrote on the consultation form: I’m not looking to make my eyes bigger. I have a defined natural inline double eyelid, but the inner corners of my eyes are covered, making me look fierce, and I want to improve that. I want a natural, thin double eyelid.
There were several people with covered eyes like mine in app reviews, and I heard it was a one-female-doctor clinic, so I got curious and booked a consultation. First of all, even though I had a reservation, I waited 30 minutes... lol There wasn’t any word of apology or understanding.
1. Do I have a lot of fat on my upper eyelids? 2. How is the distance between my eyebrows and eyes? 3. Are my eyes sunken or protruding? => She answered all three questions ambiguously. Not a lot and not little~ not sunken and not protruding~ not short and not far (the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is actually very short) Is she busy? Annoyed? She even answered without touching my upper eyelids...
Also, I open my eyes perfectly fine, but I got diagnosed with eye shape correctionㅎㅠㅠ
The part that bothered me most was, “What you’re trying to do now is honestly not even surgery; it’s at the level of a procedure. You don’t need to think too deeply about it. You don’t imagine getting into a traffic accident every time you take public transportation, right? I absolutely won’t leave scars, there won’t be marks when you close your eyes, and I absolutely won’t make sausage eyes.”
.....that’s what she said, but no matter how many people get double eyelid surgery these days, isn’t it still clearly surgery? I could feel that she thought of this surgery very lightly. And because of her consultation attitude, I couldn’t trust what she said.
Not only that, when I talked about the direction of the double eyelid line I wanted, she gave hollow laughs in between as if mocking me... haha... She also made disparaging remarks about another clinic I had consulted at before.
The consultant also pushed booking really hard and said the fact that the director is a woman is an advantage... I wondered why that would be an advantage, but after consulting with the director, I had zero desire to have surgery here, so I just turned my brain off.
