It's been about 6-7 years since I had lower lateral canthoplasty. My outer eye corners were upturned and my eyes felt closed off, but after the lower lateral canthoplasty, my eyes definitely did look a bit more opened. Early after the surgery, I couldn't smile with my eyes, so I wondered if it had gone wrong, but after about a month everything came back, and I don't really know of any side effects. But the effect didn't last long, and compared with the early stage after surgery, now my eyes have almost returned to how they used to be. Compared with before surgery, a very slight effect still remains, but there isn't a big difference.
