Functional nose surgery, nasal dorsum autologous costal cartilage review

Today is day 90! Because I had severe rhinitis, I had functional nose surgery at the same time, and because of a previous rhinitis surgery, autologous costal cartilage was the only option ㅜㅜ Days 1-10: On the day of surgery, because of the cartilage harvest, I got a pain-control injection and analgesic injection, and even took the pain-control IV bag home and had it removed the next day. Personally, the harvest site felt unbelievably stiff and sore, and even breathing wasn’t easy. For about 2-3 days I could barely sleep, and if I was lucky I slept only 2-3 hours at a time. Maybe because of the anesthesia, my mouth was extremely dry, so fluid intake was essential ㅜㅜ From days 4-5, the pain at the removal site improved quite a lot, I could walk around, and I recommend light walks. The splint was removed on day 7, and the stitches around the nose were removed. Day 14 - 1 month: In week 2, the stitches inside the nose and the stitches at the harvest site were removed. I wore the compression band until week 3, (not all day, but like 3 hours on, 2 hours rest). The nasal dorsum was still numb and sensitive. Until then I was extremely careful, and when washing my face, I rubbed the foam cleanser in advance and only let the foam touch, something like that? The swelling on the nasal bridge started to gradually go down. 1 - 3 months: Swelling at the nasal tip lasts quite a long time. 90% of the swelling is gone by 3 months, and the remaining minor swelling may last up to 1 year to 1 year and 6 months in some cases (that’s how it was for me with my first surgery, especially with lots of sebum or thick skin). The nasal tip is still firm, and after 6 months it becomes normal tissue and softens.
