I had mild myopia and mild astigmatism, and while looking into various options for my first surgery, I chose Personal Eyes LASIK (LASIK below). The reason I chose it was that while looking up information on side effects (DCInside, etc.), I didn’t want to just do anything roughly and suffer because of side effects. I was eligible for both LASIK and LASEK, but I didn’t feel confident about taking care of my eyes for 6 months, so I did LASIK. I’m very satisfied with the surgical result. Both eyes came out at 1.5, and my astigmatism was corrected. They say people with high myopia and high astigmatism have lower quality of vision than when wearing glasses before surgery, but I don’t feel that. My vision itself also became better than my corrected vision of 1.0-1.2, and rather, it’s so nice not to be bothered anymore by even a tiny bit of foreign material on my glasses or lenses. I used to look at the monitor up close, but after surgery I keep it about 70 cm away and still see extremely well. People with very poor vision should look into side effects a lot before choosing, and for people like me with mild myopia and mild astigmatism, I really recommend LASIK.
