I had my nose implant removal yesterday.
At the previous clinic, they said it was 4 mm silicone, but it turns out 3.5 mm silicone had been inserted... They removed what had been used after shaving the hump and putting in a septal support strut. They showed it to me, and 2.5 cm had been inserted. They said there was not much capsule.
My hump was not severe; it was just enough to be felt by touch, but they said that because it was shaved down, my nose is uneven. I still have taping on, so I can't see it... but because of this, I don't feel at ease. They said the nasal bridge goes in, is indented, then goes in again, but damn, I wish they would explain it in more detail and in a way that's easy to understand. I always feel this, but clinics are always so frustrating.
And they said that when the support strut was inserted, the cartilage had been dissected, so they tied it together. Is this what cartilage tying is?
When I read other people's reviews, they mention a pinched-looking phenomenon... so I'm worried about that too.
My trust in plastic surgery clinics is at rock bottom, so I wanted nothing touched. They said they mention it before surgery, but I overlooked that point.
Since I can't access the nose removal board, it's really frustrating... only my heart feels anxious. How are other people doing?
