I’ll upload photos in 2 more weeks This isn’t a promotional review x I’m just writing this from work because I felt so good after the surgery I got quotes from 3 places in total (I won’t say which ones; I’ve only marked the place where I had surgery) They said both breasts together weighed about 3.2 to 3.4 kg I wore 85J~K, so to be a little exaggerated, they were melon-sized At every place I visited for consultation, they told me I was among the largest cases, and the doctors and managers said I must have had a really hard time all this while I almost teared up; people with big breasts will relate, right! On top of that, I had once weighed over 100 kg, and with repeated weight cycling from frequent dieting, they had sagged a lot Even after losing weight down to 60 kg, they were still so big that I didn’t think losing more would make them shrink The preface is a bit long, so I’ll write the surgery review I had breast reduction + lift + axillary fat liposuction Before surgery: about 2 weeks of supplements, no alcohol, no smoking, and I didn’t take any regular medication. The night before surgery, I drank water at 10 p.m. and then stopped. On the day of surgery, I didn’t drink water either, just brushed my teeth and went in. Day of surgery: arrived at 10:30, took photos, paid the remaining balance, and got the prescribed medicine first. After a first consultation with the doctor, I went to prepare for surgery, so it was around 11:30 I think the surgery started around 12. I had been saying, “I want this over with quickly,” but once I lay on the operating table, my whole body was shaking like crazy The anesthesiologist came and gave me anesthesia, and I fell asleep comfortably When I woke up, it was around 3:30, and I remember babbling nonsense like I was drunk, so embarrassing;; I had a drainage bulb and was wrapped in bandages, and I think it hurt in a sore, stiff way. It wasn’t like it hurt terribly My throat felt dry and sore because of the breathing tube? that had been in my throat, but after about an hour I came to my senses and the nurse brought me water I was fully back to normal around 6 p.m., and I was discharged at 6:30 My period also started that day, so I felt really dizzy. Taking a taxi was so hard. I couldn’t even get food down, so I drank water, took my medicine, and fell asleep. Before sleeping, I emptied the drainage bulb once! Day 1 after surgery: When I woke up, my body was extremely sore, I emptied the drainage bulb once more, and went to the hospital! I went to have the drainage bulb removed, they checked my condition, removed it, and put on a support bra + compression bandage I wore the support bra and placed a gauze bundle? at the outer ends of both breasts, then wrapped it with a compression bandage. They said that way a seroma won’t form and the swelling goes down faster I was swollen from head to toe. My stomach looked like I was 9 months pregnant, and the swelling in my stomach + armpits was the worst Because of the compression bandage I couldn’t eat well, so digestion was bad and I basically barely ate The prescribed medicine was antibiotics + digestive medicine + anti-inflammatory painkillers, but because my menstrual cramps were severe, I additionally took Tylenol Days 2 to 6 after surgery: My stomach was still huge and I still had poor digestion, so I decided to use this chance to diet and ate only seaweed soup the whole time The prescribed antibiotics were for 10 days from the day of surgery, so I kept taking them morning and evening Every day, the compressed support bra + compression bandage itched so much. Maybe because swelling increased friction too, or maybe just because of the pressure I just endured it. When changing the dressing, I wiped the itchy areas with alcohol swabs I was told to change the dressing, so I changed only the incision? area once a day. It was like a low-adhesion hydrocolloid bandage, so it didn’t hurt The swollen underarm tissue hurt so much From this day on, I was able to wash my face I washed my face myself, but I couldn’t wash my hair, so every two days I went to a hair salon to have it washed There are lots of places that will wash your hair for 10,000 won, but not many that will only shampoo it! Day 7 after surgery: I went back to work from this day. I wore the loosest clothes I had, and kept the bandage on 24 hours Because I couldn’t eat much, as the swelling went down in my face I also lost some weight, so everyone said I had slimmed down After work that day, I went to the hospital, had my stitches removed, and bought two more support bras to switch between My sensation still hadn’t fully returned, so removing the stitches didn’t hurt. Only the areas where sensation had returned stung a little They said after the stitches were removed, I could shower with water Day 13 after surgery: First follow-up ultrasound. There was a little fluid on both sides, but they drained a little only from the left side. It stung slightly They said most of the rest would be absorbed, so I should keep wearing the compression bandage properly I said it was so itchy, and they told me to wear a tank top first and then the bra bandage, and that helped a bit! As of day 13 after surgery, they scheduled a second ultrasound follow-up + laser treatment for one month later. From this point, two weeks later I could remove the bandages They also told me to apply the regeneration tape? and scar ointment they prescribed that day. They wrote out the usage instructions
Days 8 to 14: Gradually, moving around became a bit easier, and the stinging pain was also making it feel like sensation was coming back I think I also got used to the compression bandage little by little, and now I can eat well too. Not a lot, but better than before Aside from the occasional stinging pain, the thing that drove me crazy was the itching, so I just scratched the surrounding area They said I could shower with water, but I felt like it would heal faster if no water touched the surgical area, so I didn’t wash it That’s my current situation so far Showering: On day 3 after surgery, I only washed my lower body (ahem) and my face. I couldn’t even lift my arms Even now on day 15 after surgery, I only wash my lower body and just wipe my upper body with wet wipes and alcohol cotton pads. For my back, my mom is taking care of it, so my mom wipes my back with wet wipes + alcohol cotton pads and applies lotion Shampoo: I started doing it myself from day 12 after surgery. The salon costs weren’t cheap, so I tried to be as gentle as possible without shaking myself around My mom helps with blow-drying. I absolutely couldn’t have done it alone I’m currently still swollen, and I think I’m about a full 80D cup now. They said swelling will keep going down over about a year I’m hoping I’ll settle at around a full 80C Left breast 960 / right 790 (cc), plus 200 cc each for the axillary tissue, so about 2.2 kg in total was removed As the swelling gradually goes down, the breast shape is becoming rounder, and because they also treated the armpit area, my whole frame looks smaller too Clothes I couldn’t wear before now fit, and I can’t wait for 3 months to pass so I can wear pretty underwear My breasts were so large that there was no option other than the inverted-T incision But if you’re an E cup or larger and feel like they’re very sagging, I absolutely recommend it Doctor Kim Sung-chan at Woori Plastic Surgery is a veteran, so I highly recommend him. When I lower my eyes, I can see my areolas~ nice~ I think scars are something that can’t be completely avoided. Since they said they’ll do laser treatment several times, I’ll just trust that.
