Community Review of the Clinic

At first, when I consulted with the nurse, I said I wanted a semi-out line and epicanthoplasty, and as soon as I went into the exam room and they saw my face, they said that if I wanted a semi-out line, the inner corners would need to be opened a lot. So I said, “Ah, but I’m scared it might end up looking too excessive…” Then they said, “So you want long eyes without the lacrimal caruncle showing? Do you think that’s possible? Whether it’s excessive or not is subjective,” and it’s not like I was being stubborn; I only said one sentence, but ten sentences of scolding came back at me haha… I said this was my first consultation, so even if I didn’t know much, I asked for their understanding, but they tilted their head as if to say, “Why are you saying that now?” I think they were trying to say that what I was pursuing would realistically all end up looking excessive and would not suit the harmony of my face, but they said it in such a sharp tone that I felt really bad. Everything I said I wanted, they only opposed, and they did not make any separate recommendations either, so I said I didn’t understand the point of the consultation then, and honestly, the director’s way of speaking felt unfamiliar to me. Then they said that because they are in a teaching position, they end up speaking that way, and these days the MZ generation did not receive this kind of education when they were young, so something something~ Seeing that, I felt they were just looking down on me while doing the consultation. It’s not like I completely rejected the director’s opinion, but even when I only asked questions, they kept answering aggressively… If they are aware that most of the clients who visit say their tone makes them uncomfortable, shouldn’t they know to fix it? Regardless of skill, they seem like someone who lacks the ability to reflect on themselves, so my desire to have surgery completely disappeared. I did learn some things, but it was truly a shocking first cosmetic surgery consultation…
