So I just decided to get surgery How long was I going to keep suffering like that; First of all, I didn’t have time to go around to lots of places in person And I didn’t have time to recover after surgery either If I literally missed the roughly 2 weeks right in front of me, I would have had to wait until mid-July.. (because of my personal schedule) But we have online research, right After looking at reviews here and there, one hospital in Busan seemed to have the best result photos So, like a bold woman ? I called that hospital right away and asked when the earliest possible date for double eyelid surgery would be. They said it couldn’t be done that same day and that I had to have a consultation first, but the consultation could be done that day After hearing that, I went straight in that evening for a consultation During the consultation, damn it; They said that if I made the line the same as the one I usually made with double eyelid tape, I’d end up with sausage eyelids because of (roughly, medical reasons like eyelid rolling or something)ㅠ I guess there’s a difference of a few mm between doing it with double eyelid tape and surgery (I usually made it at 15 mm) Anyway, I’ve seen a lot of cases where people don’t listen during consultations, insist stubbornly, and end up ruining things, so I compromised right away and decided on the mm by asking them to make it as thick as possible up to the limit that would work for my eyes And as I said earlier, I’m very bold After the consultation, the director’s personality also seemed kind of strict (my thought was that if they’re strict, at least they won’t do it carelessly..?) So I booked the surgery for the very next morning Luckily, the next day happened to be Monday The anesthesia was partial sleep sedation I think they said something like, “You’ll sleep for about 5 to 10 minutes” After being a bit under anesthesia, when I could move my hands and hear sounds clearly, I thought, Oh, is it over now? As expected, with anesthesia I don’t feel anything But what is this, the surgery hadn’t even started yetㅠㅠㅠ So I wondered if I had woken up when I wasn’t supposed to I clenched and unclenched my hand to signal, “I’m alive?” They said, “Please wait a moment,” so I thought they probably weren’t talking to me, but then they said, “Patient?” so I said, “Ye..e..yes” So this is what local anesthesia is like.... Anyway, they gave local anesthesia around my eyes and did the surgery and I thought “Why don’t they just do this fully under sleep sedation?” about 500 times Because it hurtㅠㅠㅠㅠ (When I looked it up, there do seem to be various reasons, but still, it hurts!) Also, they pulled and pressed my nose so much that my nose hurt even more After all that, everything was finished and I looked in the mirror after surgery Wow.. I thought, so this is what a monster looks like, plus it felt like the inner corners of my eyes were way too close together. But since I was still super swollen and couldn’t tell yet, I decided to focus on reducing the swelling quickly for now (Once the swelling went down somewhat, they didn’t look too close together. I think my nose was swollen too, so it made them look close) At the pharmacy, I got a 3-day prescription for oral medication, ointment, and eye drops I absolutely had to get the swelling down quickly, so I just bought every swelling-reduction medicine and health supplement the pharmacy was upselling me (it was expensive..) I also separately bought daily swelling-reduction supplements to take regularly. On top of that, I stacked pillows and slept almost sitting up Thanks to that, the swelling seemed to go down quickly, but the bruising wouldn’t fade So I urgently bought bruise cream to apply around my eyes too. After applying it, it did feel like the bruising faded faster Anyway, after managing it diligently, finally! the day came to remove the stitches I went to get the stitches removed.. Oh no! It hurt so much, tears just streamed down on their own It hurt enough to make me realize that even the brief anesthesia from partial sleep sedation had definitely had an anesthetic effect.. (But I’ve also heard of someone whose eyes became uneven after getting local anesthesia before stitch removal, so I also thought maybe it’s better to just endure the pain) Fortunately, it ended faster than I expected, and most of all, the feeling of being freed from the stitches was huge! The stitches made it really obvious I’d had surgery, and they said that after the stitches are removed, the swelling drops rapidly Ah, this long post is finally coming to an end When I looked the day after removing the stitches, definitely Even after just one day, a lot of the bruising and swelling seemed to have disappeared Of course, one eye is still much more swollen but now I think it has gone down quite a bit Every time my mom runs into me, she keeps saying, “Should I get it done there too?”ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I uploaded photos from the day of surgery, day 5, one week, and day 9 That was my “the king has donkey ears” review I had the surgery secretly, so as someone who likes telling stories, I had nowhere to tell this story, so I wrote itㅠ
