I went around for in-person consultations for 3 facial contouring procedures and nose revision surgery! I have a square jaw, so I wanted to make my face overall smaller, and for my nose, I wanted to change from a straight nose to a slightly upturned straight nose. 1. ㄹㅅㅍ Plastic Surgery I waited about 20 minutes and had consultations with 2 surgeons. Since it was my first consultation, I didn’t really know much, so I think I ended up talking nonstop about all my insecurities. The surgeon for the 3 facial contouring consultation was very kind. He said he would shave down the square jaw, reduce the width, and also bring the chin slightly forward to improve the straight-line look. He said the nerve line is located higher up, so there is enough room to shave. He felt kind and like someone who would do a good job. The surgeon for the nose revision consultation looked very professional. I told him my nostrils are visible and that I wanted them to show less, and he said it is not an upturned nose but a hanging nose, that there is a support axis in the upper part of the nostrils, and that in a nose like this alar reduction should absolutely not be done. He explained that there was calcification in my nose making the skin look bumpy, and because my skin is thin, I would need dorsal dermis. He explained at great length that if I want to lower the nostrils, something would have to be put there. But because my skin is thin.. I felt like doing too many different things might actually be bad, so I skipped this place. The consultant explained things well and was kind. I liked that there was not even the slightest push for a deposit. 2. ㅇㅍㅅㅌ Plastic Surgery I waited about 30 minutes and had consultations with 2 surgeons. For the 3 facial contouring consultation, they said they would shave the bones in 3D and prevent a secondary angle from forming at the jaw. They also explained things like buccal fat removal. They kept looking straight at me and asking questions in a “please answer” way, which felt a little pressure, but they seemed professional. The nose revision consultation was completely different from ㄹㅅㅍ’s! They said it would be difficult to make the nostrils less visible. Even if something were inserted above the nostrils, it would not be dramatic. They said to revise the nose into a more feminine line and only reduce the alar area a very little. (They had a different opinion from ㄹㅅㅍ Plastic Surgery..) The consultant explained things well and was kind, but the push for a deposit felt uncomfortable. They quoted an extremely high price at first, and kept saying they would give a 20% event discount plus a 20% same-day reservation discount, and that if I didn’t leave a deposit today, I wouldn’t get the 20%. 3. ㅂㅌ Plastic Surgery I waited about 40 minutes and had a consultation with 1 surgeon. During the 3 facial contouring consultation, this place charged 30,000 won for the CT scan. The CT here was in color...? The surgeon explained things by making good use of the CT, and I could really feel the professionalism. He rotated the CT 360 degrees and showed the nerve line in detail. Since the nerve line is not just a straight line, after looking at everything carefully, he said I would not be able to shave a huge amount of bone. (Different opinion from ㄹㅅㅍ Plastic Surgery..) He explained things like buccal fat removal, cortical osteotomy, masseter reduction, T-osteotomy, advancement surgery, and more. If I were to do nose surgery together with it, both contouring and nose surgery would be major operations, and I would not be able to breathe through my nose or use my mouth comfortably, so they should not be done together. He said to do the nose later and skipped the nose consultation. The consultant explained things amazingly well. Honestly, she spoke almost at a doctor level?! She gave me her card without pushing a deposit. The prices were more or less similar at all 3 hospitals! Because each hospital said completely different things, the day ended up making it even harder to choose Since this is a major surgery, I’m planning to visit about 3 more places!
