It’s already been 1 month since I had surgery for a bulbous nose + short nose, so I’m writing a post!! My blunt nasal tip and recessed columella(?) had always bothered me my whole life. I thought my nasal bridge wasn’t bad, but whenever I took photos, I always ended up only taking side-profile shots, and I was getting tired of contouring my nose with makeup too.. I did a ton of research and narrowed it down to just 2 hospitals that pursued the line I wanted, went for consultations, and in the end I had it done at this hospital!! This hospital was about 1 million won more expensive, but when I looked at the surgery review photos, they all had the line I wanted, so with the mindset of “my first surgery will be my last!!” I spent a lot on my first surgery... At first I wondered if it was too expensive, but now I’m so so so satisfied!! I wanted a naturally glamorous line, and I asked for a straight-with-slight-curve profile, but almost closer to straight!! I told them that if it was going to look like I hadn’t had surgery, I’d rather have it look noticeable, and they used 3 mm silicone for the nasal bridge, autologous costal cartilage, and ear cartilage. In my case, they were lengthening a short nose, and because my skin elasticity is strong, they said that if ear cartilage were used, there was a high chance it would be pulled upward, so they recommended autologous costal cartilage or donated costal cartilage. Donated costal cartilage felt uncomfortable to me, so I went with autologous costal cartilage. Also, my nostril wings were a bit droopy, so I had nostril-wing lifting done together, and I am seriously so~ satisfied with this. If I hadn’t done this, I don’t think I would have gotten the nose shape I wanted. I didn’t have nostril reduction, and they made a slight incision beside the nostril wing, but that scar is already almost invisible!! Since I’m still only 1 month post-op, I do have scars around the columella area and the rib area, but I think they’ll be okay if I take good care of them. And I also liked that the director sutured the autologous costal cartilage donor site toward the inside of the skin so the scar would be less noticeable!! Before removing the splint, the swelling really wouldn’t go down, but after taking off the splint and going to work and being active, the swelling going down was nothing.. Now, even though it’s only been a month, it feels like the swelling is going down too quickly, to the point that I’m worried it might get even lowerㅠ Before the surgery, I was really worried that touching my nose might change my overall impression a lot or that it might turn out badly, but after doing it, people around me keep saying it turned out so so well, and my boyfriend had tried to stop me before I did it, but after I did it he said I did wellㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ He said I look much prettierㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ And my impression didn’t change at all!!! And the part I like the most is!!! I asked for the nostril wings? the nasal tip shape to look like a seagull shape from the front, and they did that perfectly too... I used to dislike my nose from the front, but now I really like how my nose looks from the front. From the front I wonder, is it high? but from the side it’s a defined nose... It was my wannabe nose, and you made it happen, thank you, director❤️ Famous hospitals are really good too, but I think it’s best to go to a director whose aesthetic goal matches yours!!!!! And also a hospital that has been in the same place for a long time!!! Now I’m just going to live carefully so I don’t get inflammation or side effects!! When I was doing research, I really dug through this community a ton, so I hope my review helps too!! I hope everyone has a successful surgery!!
