The 1st photo is my bare face before double-eyelid surgery, and the 2nd photo is before double-eyelid surgery with makeup and contact lenses. Before double-eyelid surgery, my eyes weren’t that small, but they looked a bit stuffy horizontally And I used to open my eyes with my forehead! Very slight ptosis..? If you look at the actual photos before surgery, my eyes are more clam-like than the photos I uploaded the outer corners were closed off..
The 3rd photo was taken a few days after I had partial-incision double eyelids in an outline, epicanthoplasty, and lateral canthoplasty on both eyes in the summer of 2013! (Looking at the swelling, it’s huge lololol warning, it looks awful! At that time I was originally only going to do double eyelids and lateral canthoplasty, but my mother suddenly added epicanthoplasty too because she said my eyes would get bigger if I did it..)
The 4th photo is when the swelling had gone down a bit after the first surgery, and the hospital said I needed ptosis correction. But my mom removed it because she thought I was doing too much I had always been used to opening my eyes with my forehead, so people around me told me to open my eyes wider and more sharply, and I thought I was opening them pretty wide, but looking at the photos, back then I was going around looking totally hazy and not putting strength into my eyes But I saw somewhere that for people whose ptosis isn’t severe, just doing double eyelids can naturally correct it! I think I’m that case. Now I can put strength into my eyes well, and they open wide without using my forehead.
The 5th photo is when one eye came undone.
The 6th photo is when I had revision surgery on one double-eyelid side and had lateral canthoplasty redone on both sides. (Winter 2014) When I first had surgery, my eyes originally didn’t have Mongolian folds, but I did epicanthoplasty to make them bigger, so my eyes looked a bit sharp On top of that, my double eyelids were thick, so it was a total mess lol. That made me look even sharper Since my outer corners were closed off and that was my stress point, I did it again. The revision on one side was done with the buried-suture method, and when I mentioned that my outer eye corner was lifted, they said lower canthoplasty probably wouldn’t work because the red part of the eye would show too much, and that when doing lateral canthoplasty, they would also open the lower part just a little, as much as possible! But as you can tell from the photo, the eye that came undone was more lifted, so while revising the undone eye, I think they lowered it more!
(But when I went for revision surgery, the doctor had changed lololol I think this person is better..)
The 7th and 8th photos are when the swelling had gone down a bit after revision surgery.
The 9th and 10th are current photos. If you look at the photos I uploaded to this community before, you’ll know, but a little redness from the lateral canthoplasty does show But people around me say it isn’t noticeable and they can’t really tell, so I’m thinking maybe I shouldn’t do lateral canthoplasty reconstruction..
I thought my outer corners weren’t opened much, but looking at it like this, they actually were opened quite a lot.. haha I think they opened a lot after doing lateral canthoplasty twice! Especially the side where I had double-eyelid revision seems to have been lowered a lot haha. Before, that side was more lifted, but now the opposite eye is more lifted lol But the side that was lowered that much shows the red part at the outer corner more, and the opposite side doesn’t show it much I think there are pros and cons.
People can’t be exactly symmetrical, after all And when people look, they don’t know my eyes are uneven.. only I know..
For the line, the distance between my eyebrows and eyes is close, so it absolutely couldn’t be thick, and because I had inner double eyelids, I couldn’t do an inline or in-out line because I was afraid it would look like inner double eyelids And back then, an outline looked pretty to me, so I showed photos and asked for an outline, but I sometimes think, should I have asked for an in-out line~ But mine isn’t a complete out line. When I open my eyes, the front goes in and only the back part of the double eyelid shows, so when I open them, everyone thinks it’s an in-out line.. haha..
When I close my eyes, there is no line at all! None! So even in the beginning when it was thick, people didn’t really know I had done it. I don’t know whether this hospital is good or whether my skin heals well, but truly nobody knows I had it done unless I say it. When I close my eyes, the line really doesn’t show at all!!!!
