Review of Square Jaw + Chin at ㅈㅇㅇㄱ near Sinsa Station

(Writing in casual abbreviated style..)

It has already been 1 year and 3 months since surgery. I live in Gwangju, but I was scared to have jaw surgery in Gwangju, so I went to Seoul. They said there’s a place connected with accommodations, so people from other regions or overseas can come comfortably. I went back and forth from my aunt’s house in Bucheon.

They said the director had appeared on TV, something like Birth of a Beauty or Let Me In, so my trust went up. I thought about going to ㅇㅇㄷ, but I turned away because people said it was too much like a factory, churning people out.

The consultant was kind, and the desk staff were also kind.

Anyway, when I took ID photos, my jaw looked asymmetrical (the left square jaw stuck out more), and when I smiled, my chin had an indentation in the middle. They said they would handle that well by doing something with the muscle. I was also going to do cheekbone reduction, but the director stopped me, saying my face didn’t need it. He said it would be better to get fat grafting later in the sunken area beside my eyes, so I didn’t do my cheekbones.

I changed into surgical clothes, went into the operating room, and about 3 minutes after I lay down on the operating table, the doctor came and said, “I’m anesthesia specialist ㅇㅇㅇ. Say ah.” When I opened my eyes, I was in the recovery room... I wasn’t scared of the surgery. But lying in the recovery room doing nothing until the next day after surgery was so painfulㅜㅜ I only moved when going to the bathroom. My mom had come to the recovery room to bring me my phone, and when she saw my face wrapped in bandages... she said it wasn’t surgery because I was sick but surgery to become prettier, so she didn’t feel sorry for me at allㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ I asked my mom if she was going to Bucheon now (by KakaoTalk), and she said the desk staff told her that normally it wasn’t allowed, but she could sleep in the inpatient room and go with me tomorrow. I was kind of touched.. heh

The day after surgery, they removed the blood drain and gave me things like pumpkin juice and a band, then I was discharged and held out eating only porridge, water, and pumpkin juice. Then around day 3, I took off the bandage at my aunt’s house.

Around day 5, the hospital told me to come, so I went and got a swelling injection. They told me to visit again around 6 months later, so I went. The director showed me the before-and-after photos side by side and said my chin had been reduced this much and the square jaw also went well, but there was still some swelling left, so I should take good care of it.

But I guess asymmetry can’t be helped... My left jaw is still slightly wider. It might also be because I gained weight after surgeryㅜㅜ Now all that’s left for me is dieting....

I didn’t do double-jaw surgery because I was scared, but I also think maybe I should have just done double-jaw surgery.......

If the whole face is asymmetrical, I think double-jaw surgery or facial correction would be better.

I think the cost was around 7 million won for the two procedures.

Oh, and if possible, I really hope you bring one family member or close friend with you. On the morning of discharge, my mom took care of me, but the person next to me was alone, so I felt kind of bad for them.. And it gives you emotional stability too!!
