Liposuction Reviews

Comparing swelling and bruising after facial contouring, double chin liposuction, and cheek liposuction

Before<Before surgery>Before<Before surgery>Before<Day 1 after surgery, after discharge>Before<Day 5 after surgery, after removing the compression band>Before<Day 7 after surgery>Before<Day 7 after surgery>I’m on the taller side and have a somewhat large build. Especially because I have a lot of fat on my face, when I take selfies I look especially chubby But the funny thing is, as I get older, I don’t know if the fat is sagging, but it feels like the fat is moving down toward the lower part of my face. Since my cheekbones look prominent, my temples look sunken, and because all the fat goes to my jaw, dieting wasn’t the answer either. Everyone said surgery is the answer for the bone structure, so I first went for a consultation, and as I was getting the consultation, I thought I definitely needed to do it. The CT image of my bones was shocking.. and on top of that, it was also shocking that my face size looked bigger because of the fat.. The director didn’t speak too fast and explained things calmly and carefully, so the consultation felt pretty comfortable. They checked the position of the nerve line one by one too, which was fascinating!! They said I could get a better effect if I diet after facial contouring, so I dieted until the surgery, but during the holiday I let myself go and ate a bit, and the weight went right back to where it was Why is losing weight hard but gaining it so easy??!!

I read a lot of reviews from people saying it hurt after surgery and people saying it didn’t hurt, but I guess I’m one of the people it hurts for. After I woke up from anesthesia, it hurt more than I had expected, so I was a bit out of it. There wasn’t much pain around the square jaw area, but my lower lip was very numb and tingling. Was it because it was my first time under general anesthesia? Anyway, after waking up from anesthesia, I was dizzy and didn’t feel well. Honestly, when I read reviews, I thought I’d be able to go home after surgery without being hospitalized, but I felt like I couldn’t, so I said I wanted to be admitted, and they admitted me. I was dizzy and nauseous, so I had no appetite and only drank water, but they told me not to drink a lot of water at once, so I drank it little by little.  While I was hospitalized, they kept giving me painkillers and taking care of me, which was really nice. When I was discharged, they did dressing and various things for me until the end, and the staff were so kind that I felt mentally at ease. Some people say the compression band hurts and some say it doesn’t, but for me the compression band wasn’t uncomfortable, so I could keep wearing it, but even when my face was itchy, I couldn’t scratch because of the compression band, so that was uncomfortable. Ah!! And the hospital does give you cold packs, but stock up on a few more!! When I was hospitalized, I rotated 3 cold packs and iced every hour, so I didn’t really realize it hurt that much, but once I went home and tried to use just one cold pack, while waiting for it to freeze again my facial swelling got worse, and it was itchy and painful. The pain in other areas was still bearable, but the area around my lower lip hurt a bit.. I think maybe it’s because of the implant I had done before. When I went for my day-3 follow-up, I thought I’d try driving, so I drove there, and driving was manageable. They did the dressing and washed my hair too, so I felt refreshed. From day 7 onward, there’s no pain and I can sleep comfortably. Now I’m gradually adjusting to regular food, and my mouth is opening a lot more now, so I can chew much more too. But because of the stitches inside my mouth, eating rice isn’t easy. After eating, I always rinse my mouth with water and check whether any food is left, so I’m filling my stomach half with rice and half with water, and I’m automatically dieting. The sensation in my chin hasn’t come back yet, so I sometimes spill while eating. Walking definitely helps a lot with reducing swelling, and after I walk around the neighborhood, it feels like I can see the swelling going down in real time. The bruising on my face is also gradually getting lighter and moving down toward my neck. I want the swelling and bruising to go away quickly so I can put on makeup, get pretty, and go out to have fun!!
