I’m someone who has always had a complex about my broad nose and nostrils as big as eyeballs. Before I got even one year older, I wanted to get surgery and find the light, so even though I live outside Seoul, I’d heard here and there that plastic surgery should be done in Seoul, so I went up to Seoul and got rhinoplasty. I made an appointment by phone, had the consultation that day, and got surgery right away that same day. People who go around to multiple consultations would probably faint from shock at my incredible decisiveness. Honestly, I made the decision without thinking too deeply, figuring that if side effects happened, that would just be my fate, but I’m human too, so I was a little scared. While looking around for information, I ended up coming to this community. Anyway, to cut to the chase, as soon as I got there I consulted with the consultant, and when she asked what was bothering me, I said my nostrils were too big. She looked at my nose and said the shape of my nose was pretty, but it was spread out, so nostril reduction and just the nasal tip would be enough. And since the area beside my nose was sunken, she recommended things like paranasal augmentation. So I said okay and paid 5 million won for that septal-something surgery plus nostril reduction. Why did I pay 5 million for a nose? I feel like I may have been an easy mark, but as long as the surgery turns out well, I don’t care, so I coolly did it after saving tiny amounts of money for a year and felt relieved. After consulting with the consultant, I consulted again with the director, but the terminology and everything he said was too difficult, so I just told him to do whatever he thought was best. Honestly, since I was fasting, everything was just annoying. I just wanted it to be over quickly so I could eat. When I went into the operating room, it was so cold that I wondered if this is what it would feel like to be dragged in after being trafficked. I caught a cold there. They gave me a few injections and told me to count numbers, but I was hungry, so I got annoyed. I counted to five, said, “Why am I counting this?” and I don’t remember anything after that. When I opened my eyes, they gave me porridge. My nose was blocked so I couldn’t taste it, but it was good. Then I went home and just lay down, and when they took the cast off after a week, I didn’t want to look in the mirror because I looked dirty from my mustache. I was just so disgusted I could die, but the nurse said my nose turned out well, so I thought, wow, she really has strong professionalism. The director also said it turned out well. My acquaintances are making a fuss, saying my nose seems a bit crooked and asking if the surgery failed. Honestly, even to me, my nostrils are totally uneven and my nose seems crooked, so I searched Naver, and it said that can happen up to one month. So I’m just not making a fuss to the hospital, and they said to come again at the one-month mark. If they say there’s nothing particularly wrong then, I’ll just live with it. I don’t have money, so I can’t get revision surgery anyway. Anyway, I had septal surgery so I could breathe, but for several days I couldn’t breathe through my nose at all. Wow, I thought I got scammed and my life was ruined, but today while eating a hamburger, I suddenly snorted and a booger the size of an eyeball came out. I thought, ah, so that was why. I went home, soaked a cotton swab with saline, and picked my nose, and an alien came out. I successfully excavated the alien, so now I can breathe well through my nose, but because I had been breathing through my mouth all that time, my throat got really damaged. I need to drink lots of water. Since I wrote this so incoherently, I’ll summarize. Thank you.
Septum + paranasal augmentation + nostril reduction + nasal tip = 5 million won Hospital is in Gangnam, Seoul 2-week postoperative progress: nasal tip deviates to the left, nostrils are uneven, unexplained inability to breathe that turned out to be due to a booger. From the front, I became better-looking.
I have some questions. If I tell the hospital where I had surgery that something seems wrong, do they do revision surgery for free?????? And after surgery, why don’t they take X-rays??? Or something like that? Before surgery they took so many it was exhausting, but after surgery they just say it turned out well and don’t take any. Is it okay not to check?????
