<Before surgery><1 month><2 months> Reactions around me before surgery: Huh?? Why are you getting surgery?? Reactions around me after surgery: Wow.. your first surgery turned out amazing My nose wasn’t completely ugly to begin with, so I just lived so-so~ covering it with makeup, but people here who have had rhinoplasty will probably relate to some extent: your satisfaction with your appearance itself has to reach a level you’re happy with for makeup, and even when dressing up heavily, to feel better about it, right? No matter how much I made my nose look slimmer with contouring, it didn’t give me the glamorous-looking nose I wanted.. But if I got filler or thread lifting, the effect would only last for a very short time, and I felt like I’d suffer again from appearance obsession, so from the beginning I decided to get surgery at a proper clinic. But going around for consultations is seriously no ordinary thing... ㅠ_ㅠ At first, I watched so many reviews on a review app, but after seeing one review I liked, I’d click that clinic and look at other reviews, and then think, huh? this one looks a bit natural.. this one shows the nostrils a lot.. There were lots like that, so I erased tons from my list. Should I say it felt like the designs weren’t consistently good? ㅠ What I newly realized was that even if one review turned out really well and made a clinic blow up, you shouldn’t just see that one thing and book right away. You really have to look into multiple other clinics too, and check whether not just one person, but many different people also turned out well.. So just doing online research took a long time, and glamorous nose + lots of experience + solid recognition = one clinic I found it, got all the consultations, and decided on surgery. The design the director gave me also matched well with the design I wanted, and more than anything, there were really many surgery reviews here that used “autologous costal cartilage.” From the start, I wasn’t very drawn to donated costal cartilage, so I wanted a place where the autologous costal cartilage scar would be small and the harvesting skill was good, and I thought this place suited me better. Advantage of surgery with autologous costal cartilage: I can achieve the nose design I wanted! Above all, since I wanted a glamorous nose, even though my nose wasn’t originally low, it was possible to create a design with a clear before-and-after difference. When I first took the splint off, even considering the swelling, wow.. it really was different. The nasal bridge was slim and the nasal tip was defined.. I didn’t know I’d ever write this, but I truly thought I succeeded with the textbook glamorous nose. The director said I’d like it even more once more swelling went down, and I could see confidence there too haha, so I thought I was glad I did it here. Disadvantage of surgery with autologous costal cartilage: recovery, I guess?? The rhinoplasty pain itself wasn’t severe for me, but in the beginning, the abdominal area where the cartilage was harvested did hurt. It wasn’t so painful that I couldn’t move, but when getting up after lying down, you end up using your abdominal muscles without realizing it. At that time it would tingle and feel numb, so I tried to support myself with my arms on something else to get up? And I couldn’t help worrying about the scar.. Even though I’m fairly easygoing, I think I ended up checking day by day whether it was okay. But this too, haha ah ㅠ I did get scolded by a friend who goes to dermatology, but after a little over 2 months, I stopped caring.. Since it still doesn’t look very noticeable now, I’m thinking time is the medicine. Still, I’m so satisfied with the shape itself that I feel like I graduated from rhinoplasty with my first surgery. Even the friends around me who initially asked why I was doing it now say I did well to get it done! And since I got fat grafting at the same time as the surgery, my facial volume itself feels nicely brought out. Rhinoplasty changes depending on how the materials are used and how the design is done, so I hope everyone looks into it carefully and gets surgery. Maybe I’m able to write something like this because I’m satisfied~~
