When I was twenty, my mom took me to a plastic surgery clinic in Gangnam, where I had ptosis correction + epicanthoplasty + incisional double eyelid surgery. The price was 3 million won, which was way too expensive, and the director was very unfriendly. Still, my mom said expensive things are expensive for a reason and insisted we should do it there. So I trusted her and went through with it, but the surgical process really stayed with me as trauma. The doctor kept saying things like “ah, damn” and “ha, what should I do?” while operating. I was lying there, but because the doctor was acting like that, I felt like I was going crazy too. They repeated the process of undoing and redoing the ptosis correction three times. The result was, well, a failure. It looked so unnatural and the line was really bad too. I just cried, so at another hospital I had a buried-suture procedure to slightly widen only the outer end of the line. But maybe because it was buried-suture, it came undone. I’m sick and tired of surgery and it’s exhausting, but every time I look in the mirror I get angry. Why am I so unlucky?
