It has been 5 years since I had nose surgery. Did I go around to many places when choosing surgery? No. A friend’s older female relative had it done here and it turned out pretty, so I had about a 30-minute consultation here and had surgery right away a week later. The day before surgery, I felt anxious and regretted not looking around more.. I searched the internet for hospital information, but no matter how much I searched, there wasn’t much information about the hospital.. Since the surgery fee was about the same as college tuition, I even wondered if maybe they didn’t have many patients.. But the director had steadily gone through internship, residency, and professor positions at one university hospital, so I trusted his university hospital experience and entrusted him with my nose. Then, about 5 days after my nose surgery, my mom was sleeping next to me and hit my nose with her elbow, but my nose was fine.. Even when I’m lying down using my smartphone and it falls on my nose, it’s fine.. However, on cold days my nose turns red, I can’t make a pig nose, and I can no longer do things like boxing or wrestling where my nose might possibly get hit........ The nose did turn out pretty well.. Especially older ladies and gentlemen who are not good at recognizing plastic surgery compliment me as they pass by, saying my nose is pretty... Only my nose..... But it is obvious enough that young people can all tell I had nose surgery^-^ I regret a lot that if I could turn back time, I would have just lived with my natural nose. Hahaha Well.. As someone who has had nose surgery, what I want to say is I want to tell you not to be tempted into deciding on surgery just because there are many nose surgery reviews online. Honestly, I don’t really trust things like internet reviews.. Word of mouth is the best.. When you read reviews, they say things like they decided on surgery because the preoperative consultation was kind and thorough, so they trusted them, but please do not be tempted by things like that into deciding on surgery. Does being kind during consultation guarantee that surgery will turn out well? Well.. At the place I went to, the director did personally give me a kind and detailed consultation, but... Anyway.. Before surgery, understanding the information about your own surgeon is basic, everyone..... Experience and reputation really cannot be ignored.. Please don’t be tempted just because it is a big hospital or has many reviews, and make your decision after researching carefully.
