I have the typical oily, acne-prone skin with a genetic explosion and a rough, flaky texture. When I was 20, I drank alcohol and just went to sleep, and I also squeezed pimples, so I ended up with a lot of scars.... Around age 24, after I started earning money, I got a package of Fraxel and IntraCel about 8 times. Fraxel, IntraCel, second generation, and so on - they call it all sorts of things, but honestly I think they’re basically the same thing. Maybe my skin improved after this, but it also irritated my skin, so whenever I bent my head down and stood back up, or even just laughed, my face would turn red. According to one paper, lasers like Fraxel shouldn’t be done more than 3 times.
I decided to stop lasers, and went to an acupuncture clinic in Apgujeong famous for M.Tone and trans therapy. My friends said my skin was at its best then. M.Tone 3, thread lifting 3, micro pharmacopuncture 3 I got them in rotation, and I felt that not having lasers suited my skin. Once I started working, I couldn’t get trans therapy, but now that I’m 30, I think maybe I should have just closed my eyes and gotten it when I was younger...
It’s too far, so these days I get Dot Peel at a neighborhood clinic. It’s not a full-face treatment like Fraxel, but a doctor manually injects medication into each scar, and personally... I think treatments that leave healthy skin alone and only target the scars are better for scars. There are a lot of side-effect stories about Dot too, though.....
For those suffering because of scars, rather than getting small treatments like Fraxel or Dot, if you really make up your mind and get trans therapy or Resell therapy, I think that would be better. I just saw a recommendation post about Resell therapy on the board and got completely hooked... It takes a lot of time and effort, but it seems to improve in proportion to the work you put in. I’m thinking of waiting for winter and trying Resell therapy then, but if anyone has tried it, please leave a comment~~
