Nose Surgery Reviews@rhino-review

It’s been almost a year since my hump nose surgery

Before <The first photo is what I looked like before surgery><The second photo was taken less than a month after surgery><The third was probably taken a little over a month after surgery lol><The last one is a recent photo> I’m posting this in case it helps people who are worried about a hump nose like I was.

Before surgery, my hump nose was pretty severe, so I absolutely hated having my side profile show in photos.   Even from the front, the middle of my nasal bridge looked like it protruded, and it felt like my nasal tip was a bit droopy. My impression looked really strong, and I was even told I looked like I had a witch nose...ㅠㅠ

I was extremely stressed because of that, so I tried getting filler a few times, and it was okay. But getting it done every time was a hassle… and I felt there were limits to the shape that could be achieved with filler, so I started looking into nose surgery.

Because I had a hump nose, I had the hump shaved down and implants placed in the nasal bridge and nasal tip. And for the nasal tip implant, they used septal cartilage.

I get scared easily, so I couldn’t sleep the night before surgery and lay on the operating table wide awake, but the director joked with me and said they would make sure it didn’t hurt, so I felt a little relievedㅜㅜ

The surgery really, truly didn’t hurt at all. I just fell asleep and woke up in the recovery room..

It didn’t hurt much at all, to the point that it felt silly how scared I had been, but I struggled because of the cotton packed inside my nose and the swelling..

Unfortunately, at that time my tonsils were swollen because I was coming down with a cold, and I couldn’t breathe through my nose, so it was really hard breathing only through my swollen mouth..

Not being able to wash was also extremely uncomfortable..ㅜㅜ

If you just endure that and get the stitches removed, the swelling goes down quickly afterward. I had seen people on cafes saying stitch removal hurt a lot, so I went in scared.

Removing the stitches did sting, but it actually felt refreshing.. People who have had surgery will know what I mean. It hurts, but it feels relieving.

After taking off the splint, I was shocked because I looked like an Avatar, but after a few days, that swelling went down quickly too lol

Now it’s been 11 months? Almost a full year, and the swelling is all gone. I’m very satisfied. I think it’s the kind of surgery where you only suffer for a few days after surgery, and then you’re satisfied once that passes.

First of all, the best thing after surgery is that I overcame my complex and gained confidence in my face. Because of that, my self-esteem? things like that improved. I’ve also been told my image looks better ^^
