Nose Surgery Reviews

Review after visiting 8 clinics for bulbous nose surgery (long post)

Everyone has different opinions, different nose shapes, and even if you go to the same clinic, you may not get matched with the same manager, so I’d appreciate it if you just treated this as a reference!! ㄴㄴ(ㅠㅗ), ㅁㅂ, ㄹㅁㅊ, ㅌㅇㅅ, ㅂ,ㄴㄴ,ㅌㅌㅇ, ㅂㅇㅂ I visited these 8 places ⭐️The numbers below have nothing to do with the clinic order above ⭐️I’m not a broker!! If you’re curious which clinic is which and the cost, leave a numbered comment and I’ll tell you (it’s hard to tell you if you comment anonymously!) -My nose shape: high glabella (defined bridge), slightly hooked, bulbous tip, septum is relatively fine 1. CT scan, consultation fee 10,000 won, manager-doctor-manager The doctor had a slightly flashy style, seemed to prefer a soft, pretty look The manager was super kind, and I ended up talking mostly with the doctor -If using septum + ear cartilage + silicone, the thinnest option + osteotomy + bulbous nose correction + hump reduction The doctor has a lot of experience and spoke with confidence, clearly telling me what to do and explaining all the materials. He used a cotton swab to set the nasal line and even drew a picture to explain it. He seemed to really like septal cartilage. When I said I was worried it might droop if I used septum, he said that only happens if it’s done by someone who can’t do it properly,, If you use donated rib cartilage here, it was very expensive. Unlike other places, they said they use the whole piece instead of splitting it up, so it was more expensive than autologous rib cartilage;; The manager did not pressure me at all to book, and was very kind. If you book the surgery on the day of consultation, a 10% deposit or 100,000 won deposit (fully refundable) gives a discount, and there was also a review discount -Aftercare: no exact details about AS/warranty; they said they’ve never had a case go wrong, swelling laser, scar tissue injections / cotton removed on day 5, splint and stitches removed on day 7 2. CT scan, no consultation fee, manager-doctor-manager The only place that had me put on a protective gown before the CT scan I was shocked because the waiting room was full of Chinese people here The doctor preferred a flashy look I met the manager first, and she diagnosed my nose on her own, but later what she said didn’t match the doctor at all. The manager immediately said she wouldn’t recommend septum and, while showing me videos about rib cartilage and septum, made it sound like rib cartilage was better (probably because of the price) - Rib? Silicone? unclear, but osteotomy? bulbous correction, hump The doctor didn’t explain things accurately at first and just spoke vaguely. I showed him the photos I wanted and worried about drooping, and he answered something like, “Then raise it 120%,” which was baffling^^,, He seemed to answer questions well, but everything felt vague, so I didn’t trust it And the price was honestly ridiculous even now that I think about it. It was the most expensive out of the 8 places. The pressure to book was really intense, and they kept saying things like I should set the surgery date right there and then. After I refused four times and said I’d let them know later, their attitude suddenly changed and they gave a half-hearted explanation -Aftercare: 2 weeks of swelling laser free / disinfection the next day, cotton on day 3, splint on day 7, stitches on day 9 3. CT scan, consultation fee 10,000 won, manager-doctor-manager The doctor preferred a natural look The manager was kind and listened well, and the doctor also had a good impression and was kind He explained all the materials, and this clinic is also famous for revision surgery, so since they like using rib cartilage, they recommended rib cartilage -If autologous rib cartilage feels burdensome, donated rib cartilage (no ear cartilage) + thin silicone + bulbous correction + hump reduction I emphasized improving the front view of the tip, but the doctor said he wanted to make a nose that suits my face and kept stressing a natural result. He seemed confident in his skills and drew pictures to explain the materials and surgery method. He also touched my nose and explained everything very kindly. I worried because he didn’t seem to like flashy results much The manager didn’t pressure me to book, but the review discount (had to post 3 times) and the same-day booking discount were fairly large (I think it was fully refundable up to a week before the confirmed surgery date? for 10% of the surgery cost) Aftercare: if you request CCTV in advance, a guardian can watch in real time, swelling laser available for a month, 1 year aftercare, one session of skin care, cotton removed the next day, splint and stitches removed on day 7 I seriously deliberated here, even put down a deposit, but I canceled because I was worried about aesthetics 4. CT scan, no consultation fee, manager-doctor-manager The doctor had surgery right after, so I talked a little with the manager and then met the doctor right away. The manager said the doctor I chose wasn’t available in March and tried to connect me with another doctor, but I refused -Septum + thin silicone + ear cartilage only if the septum is too thin + bulbous correction + hump reduction The doctor had a very calm style and didn’t seem to say things first on his own, but if I asked questions, he answered everything. He reflected my aesthetic preferences while looking at the photos I wanted, and when I worried about septum drooping, he said that rib cartilage also droops to some extent and a little tip drop can look natural The doctor’s March schedule was already full, and I was a bit worried about using only septum. Since it was closing time, the manager only gave me a rough price. He said if I contact them, they’d do it at that price, with no same-day deposit maybe he wanted to go home quickly.. The price was cheap since they didn’t do much on the nose anyway. I couldn’t ask anything about aftercare at all.. 5. CT scan, no consultation fee, manager-doctor-manager The doctor seemed to prefer a natural soft-pretty look -No implants + septum + donated rib cartilage if desired + ear cartilage to fill in differences in height + hump reduction + bulbous correction The doctor was quite handsome and very kind. As soon as he saw me, he complimented my face a lot and said he didn’t want to make just the nose look too disconnected. Since my bridge is high, he strongly recommended no implant. He said silicone would make my face look artificial and emphasized that he does well with no-implant cases The manager was kind too, and showed me other patients’ reviews on the website. There was no pressure to leave a deposit. The price was a little higher than other places. They said there is a discount if you book on the day, but you don’t have to do it right there; you only need to say it that day. It’s 10% of the surgery cost, and if you cancel, they refund everything minus 10% -Aftercare: they said you can only view CCTV if you pay extra, and if you don’t ask in advance, you can’t see it either (that part was a bit disappointing) swelling laser, sebum care 6. No CT scan, no consultation fee, manager-doctor-manager This was also a large clinic, so there were many foreigners The manager first set the line and explained what they would do -No implants + septum (donated rib cartilage if needed) + ear cartilage + hump reduction + bulbous nose The doctor looked a bit tired, but he answered everything I asked. It felt like he preferred a natural result There was no pressure to book on the day from the manager. But I was surprised that they said they absolutely do general anesthesia here. The clinic is large, there’s a separate testing area in the basement, and an anesthesiology specialist is always on site, but general anesthesia for nose surgery.. There was a review discount, but you had to write reviews in 2 places and 4 times, and there was a same-day discount Aftercare: swelling laser, sebum care, scar tissue injections 7. CT scan, consultation fee 10,000 won, manager-doctor-manager There was a 2-hour wait at first, and the people ahead of us seemed to wait 1 hour 30 minutes too,, The manager immediately told me the price was expensive. I already knew that, but I wondered how expensive it could be^^,, and it turned out to be the second most expensive (I still don’t understand why that place is the priciest) -No implants + osteotomy + septum (donated rib cartilage if not firm enough) + ear cartilage + bulbous nose + hump reduction The doctor was extremely chic. Maybe because he had just finished surgery or because his pride was high, but he spoke very quickly,, If I asked something, he’d answer like, “Yes~ that can happen~ there’s nothing you can do about that~” But the review photos were good and he seemed to know it too,, He clearly has a line/style he prefers. I asked the manager if the pretty nose I saw was done by the doctor, and she said yes, and that she had also had revision surgery here,, There was no pressure to book, and there was no extra bargaining or anything; they just had a review discount and a same-day booking discount (10% of the surgery fee, and if canceled, they refund minus 10%). They said they would absolutely not go cheaper 8. CT scan, no consultation fee, manager-doctor-manager First of all, the manager here was extremely rude I can’t tell if the doctor just has bad aesthetics or if he simply has his own standards, but what he said was very different from the other 7 places I visited -He said my glabella was high, so he recommended 3.5 silicone + septum + ear cartilage + hump reduction + bulbous nose He seemed to explain things very thoroughly, asking questions and drawing lines on nose photos to show proportions. But it didn’t feel like he was tailoring it to me; it felt more like being forced into a pre-set system, so it didn’t really resonate with me. He didn’t use a cotton swab to set the nose line, though he did let me touch the silicone directly. He explained a lot, but I didn’t get the feeling he’d be good at surgery.. And when the manager realized I wasn’t going to go ahead, she just told me to leave quickly, and when I asked them to summarize the cost by KakaoTalk, they said, “We don’t do that,” and told me to get out if I wasn’t going to do it,,^^ That’s the end of my clinic-visiting review! ⭐️This is just my subjective personal opinion, so I’m not going to reveal which clinics I recommend or which one I ultimately chose. Please take it only as a reference, and if you really want a place, make sure to visit and compare clinics yourself!!
