Hi everyone, first of all, I went to four places in total, but I think writing about all of them at once would be a bit tough, so I’m going to split them up two and two. I’ll write about Glam and MD first, and I’ll divide it into common points / differences / each hospital’s strengths / overall impression, so if anyone is looking into hospitals, you can refer to whatever parts are useful. First, starting with the common points: Glam (Oh Jae-won) / MD (Lee Sang-dal) -> Both have more than 20 years of experience as breast surgery specialists, and both hospitals have been open for a long time. It also seemed like they do more revision surgeries than primary surgeries, and during the consultation, after looking at my breast shape, they explained clearly and convincingly which parts need improvement from my current condition, why that surgical method would be needed for that, and why that implant would be the right choice! Postoperative care also includes breast ultrasound checkups (free at the 1-year mark), and the common points are that hospitalization is available, after-service is lifetime, and there is no consultation fee. On the other hand, the differences were: [CCTV-related] Glam: They say you can view the CCTV and that they provide full recording. MD: They say CCTV cannot be viewed due to leakage concerns, and that they record parts during the surgery on an iPad and show it in the recovery room. (Deleted afterward) [Postoperative care period] Glam: Basic postoperative care schedule is 1 year. MD: Basic postoperative care schedule is 3 months. [Ultrasound examination] Glam: The director personally checks it before and after surgery. MD: There is a separate examination director? who does the ultrasound before and after surgery. (It seemed like that person only performs the examination at the checkup center.) I think I felt the differences mainly in those 3 areas, and the good points were: Glam: They said the consultant has been there since the hospital opened, and she really felt incredibly kind. Even though we had just met for the first time during the consultation, somehow it felt like she recognized me as a very, very precious person and embraced me.......? At first I was flustered because I’m shy with strangers, but after about 10 minutes I guess I adapted to the hospital atmosphere, and I was able to talk comfortably + I felt the close, attentive care of a private hospital. If I were to have surgery here? I don’t think I’d feel disappointed about the care. That’s how much the consultant carried the whole experience. MD: They use an entire building, and because of that, the system is precisely and clearly divided. It’s large in scale for a breast surgery clinic, to the point that they have a separate examination center. Also, hospitalization is free, and they have something called an escort service where a dedicated staff member accompanies you when you’re discharged and carries your luggage. I thought it would be really useful if you had to be discharged alone. Final overall impression! Glam: A hospital where I could feel the director’s pride in his surgical skill. Just looking at the before-and-after photos, I could feel that they pursue extreme naturalness. However, because of the director’s firm cc diagnosis, I was left wondering whether he could make it as large as the size I want. (The consultant said it was possible, but..) MD: It wins overwhelmingly in terms of hospital scale, but the director looked very tired. Since the director’s surgical method is different from other hospitals, the fact that you don’t have to wear a compression bra during recovery felt like a huge advantage, but I also wondered a little whether cleavage could come together without wearing a compression bra.
