Review after receiving consultations at three places today and making a reservation First, my eyes have inner double eyelids that look like monolids, with a lot of eye fat and they’re thick! I wanted a non-incisional buried-suture method with an outline crease, but rather than wanting something glamorous, it was the line I liked when I drew it on my own eyes. 1. ㅁㅂ Plastic Surgery / ㄱㅈㅎ - I originally swell easily + I cried while watching a drama the day before, so I went to the consultation with my eyes extremely swollen. Overall the managers were kind, and there was no pressure to book. They took photos, and during the manager consultation, rather than talking much about my eyes, they asked what I wanted and immediately called in the director. The director measured my eyes with a ruler and drew the line with a toothpick, but because my eyes were swollen, the line wouldn’t hold, so he firmly said the buried-suture method wouldn’t work. He said if today’s eye swelling was severe, it would be good to come again, but in my current condition only incision is possible. He said I don’t need ptosis correction or canthoplasty, but recommended lower eyelid fat repositioning. The price was the cheapest, and it included swelling laser treatment. 2. ㅇㅈ Plastic Surgery / ㄱㅎㅈ - A doctor who mainly does buried-suture methods. The consultation manager came, looked at my eyes, and mentioned ptosis correction + canthoplasty. The doctor measured my face here and there with a ruler and said my eyes are larger than average + the drooping is severe. He recommended incision, but said if I wanted non-incisional, ptosis correction + upper canthoplasty would be good, and if I did incision, it would be good to remove about 7 mm of eyelid skin. As soon as I heard upper canthoplasty, I ruled it out, but the hospital itself seemed to like somewhat glamorous eyes where it’s obvious double eyelid surgery was done. 3. ㅋㅋ Plastic Surgery / ㅂㅈㅇ - The place where I liked the reviews and lines the most when researching online. The staff were kind, and the consultation manager only asked what style I wanted, then immediately had me consult with the director. I said I wanted an outline crease, but he said what I had made was more like a wrinkle-level line, so it would be very different after surgery, and recommended an in-out line -> He mentioned incision first, but when I said I wanted non-incisional, he said it is possible. I trusted him when he said the difference between incision and non-incision is whether it comes undone later or not. There was no talk of ptosis correction or canthoplasty, and the price for buried-suture method + fat removal was more expensive than incision + ptosis correction elsewhere. Still, he said it is a one-doctor clinic + he only does eyes, so I made a reservation here and left.
