As the title says, this is a review of procedures I received over several years.
The area I got done the most was under the eyes. In my mid-to-late 20s, I got jaw Botox and it opened up a whole new world for me, so because my under-eye dark circles were severe and the area was somewhat hollow, I went to a famous clinic in Gangnam and got filler there. I was satisfied. There were no side effects. 1 cc total for both sides, filled in without looking obvious.
About a year to a year and a half later, I got under-eye filler again at the same clinic from the same director. I do not remember well, but I think a similar amount was injected, and I was satisfied.
Then early this year, at a different clinic but with the same director (I heard he was no longer at the original clinic, so I searched and found the clinic he opened lol), I got under-eye, lateral cheek, and nasolabial fold fillers.
For the lateral cheek, the line below my ears was asymmetrical, so I only got 1 cc on one side to match it. It just filled in the sunken area, so it did not show at all, and there was not even much to say about being satisfied. No side effects.
Next, the nasolabial folds. As I got older, the nasolabial folds became indentedㅠㅠㅠ 1 cc total on both sides next to the nasal ala.. Since it was my first time getting it there, I was scared, and because there were many reviews about side effects and many unskilled directors, I thought about it a lot before getting it. It turned out well and did not look obvious at all. No side effects. The downside is that it disappears quickly, so I think I will need to get it again (I think it has been about 2 months since I got it).
The problem area was under the eyes. I had gotten under-eye filler before, so I had no fear at all. For under the eyes, I got 1 cc total for both sides like before, but it seemed like it had not filled enough, so about a month later I got another 1 cc total on both sides. Getting it again was the problem. My eyes swelled and became squishyㅠㅠ Even with time, it would not settle.. The doctor said it could be because I got it again too soon. My house is around the outskirts of Seoul, but I went to the clinic once a week and asked them to look under my eyes because I was anxiousㅠㅠ I thought filler suited my constitution because I had never swelled or looked obvious after filler, and after time passed it absorbed neatly, so I had felt reassured. But I was so anxious and just looked in the mirror every dayㅠㅠ
Now I think it has been about 4 months? since I got it, and that swelling seemed to last about a month. And I think it was not swelling, but rather that the filler kept not settling into place (it was watery and squishy). I realized that you should not get greedy. It is the truth that filler should be done so it feels slightly insufficient!!
For under the eyes, I cannot keep getting only filler forever, so I am thinking about under-eye fat repositioning!!
