The hospital where I want to get surgery is recommending general anesthesia. Since they have to harvest my own rib cartilage, they said it would be dangerous if I moved, so we should do general anesthesia.. Has anyone here had rhinoplasty under general anesthesia? I looked it up a bit on YouTube, and there were some people saying general anesthesia is safer than sedation anesthesia..ㅠ I've had sedation anesthesia several times, but this is my first time with general anesthesia, so I'm hesitating a bit. They said not to worry because an anesthesiology specialist will be in the surgery with us, but honestly I'm scared. I'm afraid I'll close my eyes and open them and it'll be 5 years later, or that I won't wake up at all.. Have I watched too many movies?ㅋㅋㅋ ㅠㅠ
nsg00 I think for harvesting autologous rib cartilage, general anesthesia would be better. ㅠㅠ
바라카피바라 I had my autologous rib procedure done with general anesthesiaㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
ppppone [@바라카피바라] ㅠㅠ At least there’s at least one person, so that’s somehow reassuring.
성공기원즁 I had the autologous rib surgery with sedation. At that time I checked, and it seemed like general anesthesia was safer, but the hospital I had surgery at only did sedation.
삥뽕뽕 I’ve had lots of surgeries, but no hospitals had recommended general anesthesia..ㅠ Anyway, aren’t your arms and legs tied anyway..?
콩이이22 PS: I’ll tell you why general anesthesia is done. Autologous rib can use ribs 5, 6, 7, 8, 9. 5 and 6 are the strongest. Pneumothorax can occur here, so it can’t be done with sedation. Do you understand? PS uses 5 and 6, which are the strongest autologous ribs.
ㅣㅏㅓㅜㅐㅔㅔ I’m curious too. ㅠㅠㅠ

Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Complete removal after one month due to nasal inflammation
I developed inflammation 2 weeks after nose surgery, so I took antibiotics, and at week 4 I had the silicone removed. But there is still an inflammatory reaction, so I’m looking into complete removal ㅠㅠ The clinic says we should keep trying
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 I’m deciding between Asan and RU! Has anyone had surgery at Asan?ˀ̣
My nose had inflammation, so everything has been removed, and I think there’s still a little inflammation left. Considering that, I feel like Asan might be the right choice, but I’m so torn because I don’t know if the shape will turn out pr
Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redoApr 29 Can contracture also occur with implant-free autologous costal cartilage?
Just as the title says…..
