I had cosmetic surgery at an ENT clinic, and they said I had a deviated septum and recommended doing the surgery together, saying it would be covered by indemnity insurance.
Then a few years later, inflammation developed around the silicone area, so I had the silicone removed.
I don’t know how much of my septal cartilage they shaved away, but my nose had collapsed and become a saddle nose. I just didn’t know because of the silicone.
They said they would do revision surgery for free there, but they said they would put silicone in again and use ear cartilage and septal cartilage again, so I was horrified.
I’m looking into other hospitals. How could they even think of using silicone again after it had already caused inflammation once?
And from what other doctors say, when the septum collapses, it’s common to use strong costal cartilage, so why soft ear cartilage?
Looking at it, this director doesn’t seem to perform costal cartilage rhinoplasty.
Based on the cases around me too, I think it’s better to have cosmetic surgery done by a board-certified plastic surgeon.
