In May, I paid 650,000 won for buried suture + fat removal at one of the plastic surgery clinics clustered around Exit 4 of Apgujeong Station. I heard they were good at making it look natural, so I didn’t go to several places for double eyelid consultations and just went ahead with my first cosmetic surgery right away. I already had double eyelids originally, but I thought I had a lot of fat in my eyes, so I had fat removal and buried suture done.
Since I heard a lot that I had gotten prettier, and I had saved up some money, once you do your eyes, you start wanting to do your nose too! I went around to about 5 nose consultations. When filling out the chart, I had to write what procedures I’d had done. At one place, I was told my eyes had turned out naturally well, but at another place (this place didn’t have me write on the chart where I’d had work done, had no advertising, and was known by word of mouth), the director said fat wasn’t the problem, that I had a lot of my own skin lolololol, and asked why they pinched it with buried sutures when it should have been done with an incision, and he criticized the doctor who did my eyes lololol Recently I had been wondering whether I needed revision surgery or just needed fat removed because it seemed like there was a lot of fat near the outer ends of my eyes, but to think this was my own skin...ㅠㅠ He said it looked droopy because I had a lot of skin hahaha I feel like he corrected my concern right away, so I’m thinking of doing my nose there, but it’s so expensive that I’m going to work hard from now on....ㅎ
If you’re like me and aren’t sure whether it’s fat or skin, or if an incision feels burdensome, or if the director says your case can be handled with buried suture surgery,
I still think it would be good to ask about incisional surgery once during the consultation.
