Eye Re-Surgery@eye-redo

Same-day impressions from someone getting cosmetic surgery for the first time: under-eye fat repositioning + fat grafting (+da…

I thought there might be other scared people like me, so I’m leaving a review while it’s still vivid...(I haven’t seen posts about the process of going in....) First of all, I had never had any surgery/procedure except LASEK until my mid-30s. I’m really scared..whether it’s about side effects or painㅜ I’m also the type who thinks I should live as naturally as possible, the way I was born.... But after almost 7 years of worrying, from when I first noticed my under-eyes looking a bit hollow to when the fat under my eyes started protruding and casting shadows, I suddenly decided to do it this time.  I chose the clinic after previously researching online and visiting places in person. I went today, waited a long time, and then went in. During the final consultation, the director marked the areas where fat would be injected with a marker. (I fasted from everything including water for over 4 hours) After changing clothes, when I went into the air shower room, I got so scared again.... When I lay down on the operating table, they separated out my left leg because they were going to harvest fat from my thigh. + covered in disinfectant + put in an IV line, applied disinfectant to my face, and covered me with a drape Even then I was honestly so scared and trembling inside, but they said, “When the director comes in, you’ll go to sleep,” and soon I fell asleep like someone had flipped a switch. They said they’d do sedation anesthesia and then local anesthesia around my eyes, and that I might wake up lightly in the middle as if from shallow sleep, but I wouldn’t remember it. And really, I don’t remember whether I woke up or not. After quite some time, I was half-asleep and half-awake, moved to a chair, and dozed a bit more. My under-eyes were covered with lots of tape, and I was so sleepy that I sat there in a hazy state and dozed more. In the middle, someone, maybe a nurse, came twice and asked if I felt dizzy. My eyes were stuck together so they wouldn’t open well, but after trying a few times I opened them and my vision was blurry. I said I’d rest a little longer because I was dizzy, and when I asked what time it was, it was already two and a half hours after the surgery start time (I think I rested for about 1 hour), so I told my mom, who came as my guardian, that I was coming out. While I was sitting there, they brought me water and candy, which I was thankful for (^^)...... When I tried to walk out, I was dizzy and staggering. I changed clothes while sitting down, so I recommend wearing buttoned clothes that are super easy to change into...ㅋㅋㅋ The pain isn’t as bad as I worried it would be. It felt similar to when you get anesthesia at the dentist: from my cheeks to my lips felt numb and without sensation, and my mouth didn’t move well. Now that two hours have passed, my mouth moves and opens. My cheeks don’t exactly hurt; they feel slightly sore, similar to the stinging soreness before the anesthesia wore off after LASEK. My vision was hazy for about an hour, but now I can see well enough to write this review, and moving my eyeballs around doesn’t feel very uncomfortable. For two hours, tears with a very small amount of blood mixed in pooled a bit and came out little by little, so I dabbed them with gauze, but because of the anesthesia numbness I couldn’t feel it. My face is swollen, but not to the point of looking like a fish-human. I’m trying not to lower my head if possible. There’s a bandage(?) on the thigh where they took the fat from, so I can’t see what it looks like, and it doesn’t hurt right now. It’s fairly far on the inner side, so if anyone is bothered by that, it might be good to remove hair before going^^;; Just for my personal record, as each day passes, I’m going to leave notes on what my condition is like! I hope the result is good
