I wanted to go for a glamorous look lol! I wanted a straight-to-slightly-curved line, and my septal cartilage was too small and thin, so even though it was my first surgery, I used costal cartilage. Maybe because I’d often seen reviews saying autologous costal cartilage pain hurts, I was a bit scared.. but surgery really must vary by person. Did the doctor harvest it well?? The autologous rib scar also wasn’t as big as I expected (about 2 cm), and I didn’t have pain either. To the point where I wondered, “Did they really take something from my own body?”?? lololol But… it really was mine hahaha While eating, I suddenly got hiccups.. Every time I went hic, hic, it felt like I’d been shot in the ribs.. lol heuheu… ㅠㅠㅠㅜ Still, other than that, it didn’t hurt in daily life haha When I got treatment after surgery, removing the cotton from my nose didn’t hurt either, and since I could just breathe, I only thought, “Oh, hallelujah.. !?” lol (Oh, and this was seriously an unexpected bit of luck? My blood vessels are really hard to see and thin, so wherever I go, they usually stick me two or three times…ㅜㅜ When I had my C-section, they succeeded on the 8th try.. But are the nurses at this hospital just good at placing IVs? One shot, one kill lolololol Every time I went for treatment, I requested an IV and got a swelling injection together with fluids, and every time it was one shot, one kill. I love it so much ㅜㅜㅋ) Since I was a case that needed costal cartilage without much question, I had to choose between donated rib cartilage and autologous costal cartilage.. After thinking about it a lot, I went with autologous costal cartilage haha (Because with my personality, I felt like I’d keep thinking about someone else’s cartilage being inside my bodyㅜㅜ.. I’m a little obsessive.. lol) After using my own, I liked that there was nothing to worry about lol The design I wanted was: - Nostrils not looking too long, - especially from the side, the nostril length not being too long - the nasal bridge not being too thin, kind of a slightly plump-line nasal dorsum? - no step-off? between the nasal bridge > glabella > forehead - definite correction of the bulbous nose shape - lowering the columella slightly (so it wouldn’t be in a straight line with the alar rim from the side) I asked them to make sure it didn’t become a pointy nose, witch nose, Pinocchio nose, or a sharp half-upturned line. Since they didn’t recommend alar reduction, I only did bulbous nose correction, nasal bridge, nasal tip, and columella correction. They also said not to do nostril lowering. (The doctor was someone who didn’t recommend unnecessary or excessive procedures.) During consultation, I said I wanted it very glamorous lol I’m kind of suspicious and cautious lolol I went to quite a lot of consultations.. (a crazy person who went to 13 places..) When I said, “Doctor, I want it glamorous!!!!!” there were quite a few people who showed me a Pinocchio-style nose and said, “This, right?” I realized that my idea of glamorous and the doctor’s or consultant’s idea of glamorous could be different lololol Make sure to bring photos ~ I think it’s better than explaining in words haha! Anyway, I put in a high 6 mm nasal bridge, and I think they shaped it well for me - Since my skin is on the thick side, I don’t know how much slimmer the nasal tip will get lol To me, it still feels a lot like Avatar + big-nose vibes, but it’ll be okay with time, right?! lol ㅜㅜ Even though it’s 6 mm, I don’t think it looks overly excessive. Seems like they shaped it really well?? I knew the doctor doesn’t create artificially excessive lines, so I remember lying on the operating table without being too worried haha I tried looking for before photos to leave a review, and I wanted to blow up my photo album lolol ㅠㅠㅠ What I felt after doing my nose is, strangely, everyone says my face became slimmer. I couldn’t exercise after surgery and gained 5 kg.. but people say it looks like I lost facial fat, and they ask if I did something to my forehead because it looks rounded lol Every time I look at before photos, I flinch.. I did my eyes and nose together, so I feel like the doctor almost recreated(?) me lol Before, when I wore my hair slicked all the way back, I looked like some general who had to go cut off the enemy’s head any second.. But after just doing my nose, even if I roughly tie my hair tightly back with no baby hairs, it doesn’t look weird.. ㅜㅜ ? Friends with pretty noses… I’m so, so jealous ㅠㅠㅜ Anyway, my satisfaction with the surgery is high, so I thought I should’ve done it earlier… All those years I let pass while only worrying, sob sob lololol I’m leaving this review in case it helps anyone with a nose similar to mine ㅜㅋ I hope everyone’s surgery goes beautifully and safely ♥
