Nose Re-Surgery@rhino-redo

I had everything removed today

After really agonizing over it, I finally went through with it ㅜ The swelling is getting worse, so I still haven’t been able to take proper photos. This is just for reference for those who are getting removal . . I had it under sedation. They said local anesthesia hurts, so I was sedated only for that part, and after that I had the surgery while awake . . Maybe the anesthesia wore off a bit in the middle, so they did local anesthesia again. . That pulling feeling ㅇ. . ugh . ㅜ For now, I had absolutely everything removed: ear cartilage, silicone, and the extension. During surgery, the doctor said there were two pieces of cartilage in there and asked, “Should we leave one in?” . . I had seen someone’s post in a community saying that if you’re going to do it, full removal is better, so I asked them to remove everything. But is it possible for two pieces of cartilage to be inserted? ㅜ ㅜ It feels kind of scary ㅋ ㅋ For now it’s still very swollen, so I can’t make out the shape. . Since it was a nose with length extension, it does feel shorter. But since it’s taped up, so far it looks fairly okay. I had built up my glabella quite a lot, and I can see that the glabella area looks a bit sunken. The doctor said that even after removal, a capsule forms, so it won’t look very sunken. Does a capsule also disappear over time? I don’t really know exactly what a capsule is. Today I was prescribed one week of antibiotics . . and 30 days’ worth of medication for contracture. The doctor said I should think of it as returning to somewhere between my original nose and my surgically enhanced nose. . They say the shape isn’t bad for now. . Hmm. . I don’t know. My original nose wasn’t pretty, and I didn’t have much glabella height, but the nasal tip was a little high. . But I don’t have before photos ㅜ ㅜ I had it done 4 years ago and deleted all my before photos. . Please just use this for reference. I’ll get the stitches removed in a week and upload photos again ... I won’t mention the clinic . . It’s just, well, not even a removal-specialized clinic. I had it done at the clinic where I had my surgery. I can tell you the cost. ㅎ But after taking it out, I felt relieved, and my nose felt so light it was like it might fly away. I have a previous post. . For a month, I had mild pain, redness on the nasal bridge. . and my rhinitis got worse, and for various combined reasons the psychological part was big. I feel at ease now. . Just. I also took antibiotics for a month, but it didn’t get better ㅜ ㅜ I was debating whether to do it at a removal specialist or at the place where I had it done, but I thought the place that did it would know the condition of my nose best. . And when I asked the consultation staff there what the difference was from a removal-specialized clinic, they said removal isn’t really a surgery with a high level of surgical difficulty .. .. If it were revision surgery to refine the nasal tip, that could be a different story. . but for full removal, there isn’t really anything like that, they said ㅜ. The surgery ended quickly. 30 minutes? Was it 40 minutes? But maybe because today is the first day, I’m having a bit of a nosebleed ㄷ ㄷ For those about to get removal, hang in there ㅎ ㅎ I’ll just get fillers. . I’m never touching my nose again. ㅎ It’s become a swollen bulbous nose ㅋ ㅋ I’m really curious what it’ll be like once the swelling goes down. I’ll get the stitches removed in a week and upload photos again. The top is after surgery, and the bottom is before surgery.
