I previously had the non-incisional buried-suture method, but it came undone, so I went around to about 8 clinics. Most recommended incision, and only one clinic recommended the buried-suture method. The prices varied wildly, so after thinking about it, I chose a place with decent reviews and a decent consultation.
I had incision + epicanthoplasty correction + ptosis correction, and the surgery took over 2 hours, so I had anesthesia twice and went through a lot. Still, the swelling went down incredibly fast, so both the clinic and I were surprised.
Even though a lot of fat was removed, I naturally have a lot of upper eyelid skin, so now it looks a bit like an inner double eyelid, and no one knows I had double eyelid surgery. So I’m a little dissatisfied, but I’m just going to live with it. Also, the previous epicanthoplasty left a very large scar, so I had it corrected, but there is still a slight scar; only I can notice it. Overall I’m satisfied, but I do think maybe I should have made the line bigger back then. For people with a lot of upper eyelid skin, I recommend not worrying about a sausage-like appearance and making the line larger.
