The reason I used costal cartilage even for my first nose surgery was that I had heard a lot that septal cartilage or ear cartilage does not provide strong support for the nasal tip, so there is a high risk of it dropping later. I wanted my rhinoplasty to be successful in one go! Since my nasal tip was very blunt and I had a large bulbous nose, I thought a dramatic nose would be possible. When I told the director that I wanted it to look as glamorous as possible, he said costal cartilage rhinoplasty would be perfect! Autologous costal cartilage is harvested from the rib, and the idea of needing rib surgery in addition to rhinoplasty felt a bit burdensome in terms of time, physical stamina, and cost. Donated costal cartilage was less burdensome than autologous costal cartilage in terms of time, cost, scarring, and the surgical aspect, so I chose donated costal cartilage and had rhinoplasty. Even when I scheduled the surgery, they explained what I needed to do on the day of surgery, and they called me again the day before surgery to check everything, which I really liked! After the surgery, the manager in charge also came into the recovery room and checked my condition once more. Before discharge, the director came by, checked me, and gave the OK sign that I could be discharged, so I was very satisfied with the medical service system as well. I had often heard that at large hospitals, you only see the director who performed your surgery on the day of surgery, and afterward you cannot see their face, but at this clinic, even though it was busy, Director Han Sang-cheol, who was in charge of my surgery, checked my progress every time and personally carried out the treatments. I really liked the system where the doctor in charge checked my condition every time, and if anyone around me says they are getting plastic surgery, I will definitely recommend this clinic.
