First of all, my rhinitis got much worse starting about a year ago, so I was wheezing, waking up from sleep, and even got prescribed steroid medication I felt it was serious and decided on rhinitis surgery. Since I was going to do it anyway, I also wanted to raise my nasal tip, so I searched many places online and visited two places for consultations! 1. ㅇㅅㅇㄷ ENT Clinic Because it was an ENT clinic, I trusted that they would fix the functional problems with my nose well, but I really didn’t like the consultation During the consultation with the director, they said my nose is on the short side, so if I have surgery, it can’t help but become longer. But I said I still didn’t want it to get longer, you know? I didn’t hate my natural nose that much, and I didn’t want or was scared of my image changing.. When I said I didn’t want it to get longer, the director said if we go without silicone and use no implant, it would get less long. But it still has no choice but to get longer. That’s what they said.. Like how wording can make a difference, they could have reassured me overall by saying they would try to keep it from getting longer as much as possible, but if they raise it at this angle it could become an upturned nose so it needs to be extended a bit, etc., even if the nasal length becomes longer, right..? But there was none of that at all. It’s a short nose. It can’t help but get longer. It has to get longer. Since they kept saying this.. they were so firm that I felt uneasy entrusting my nose to this place.. I already had a baseless bias that since it was an ENT clinic, maybe they wouldn’t be very good at the cosmetic part The cost (functional 3 million, cosmetic 800,000) was affordable, and the reviews seemed fairly trustworthy, but the consultation crushed my expectations in 5 minutes, so in the end I didn’t do it 2. ㅈㅇㅈ Plastic Surgery I had a consultation with Director ㅇㅅㅎ, and first of all both the consultant and the director were very kind! Here too, they said my nose was on the short side, but they really listened when I said I didn’t want it to get longer. What I couldn’t understand at hospital 1, why it had to get longer, they explained step by step here that it could become an upturned nose So I came to understand why it had to be lengthened haha.. Still, the director kept noticing the parts I was anxious about while saying they would keep it from getting longer as much as possible within the range where it wouldn’t become an upturned nose. With a plastic surgery clinic, I had the opposite concern that maybe they wouldn’t be good at the functional part, but it’s a hospital that also does snoring surgery, and the doctor is an ENT specialist, so I trusted the functional part too! But the cost (functional 2.3 million, cosmetic 3.2 million) was so different from the first consultation that I worried a bit If I missed the Lunar New Year period, I’m an office worker so I wouldn’t have a schedule to get surgery until Chuseok. I judged it would be better than saving money and regretting it, so I booked and had the surgery. Because hospital 1 cut me off so firmly and didn’t really listen to me.. I think it also had the effect of making this place look better haha If this had been my first consultation, I might have gone to other places too..? When I booked the surgery, they even made a note that I didn’t want my nose to get longer haha It hasn’t been long since surgery yet, so it’s too early to write a surgery review. When I write the surgery review, I’ll also bring the things I was concerned about and consulted on, and before-and-after photos haha
