I had breast surgery at the same time as revision rhinoplasty.
I think I’ll have to do it again...^^;
It’s not that I knew about this community before that.
As I read many posts, I keep regretting how good it would have been if I’d known before surgery.
I really realized that with plastic surgery too, I have to know a lot before going in.
It was revision rhinoplasty, and I feel pathetic for being so underprepared.
I had no nasal bridge and had a bulbous nose. I guess I’d have to look at family photos to know what my nose was like.
It was 13-14 years ago, when I was young!!^^
At a neighborhood plastic surgery clinic, I asked them to just slightly raise my nasal bridge,
and they put in silicone and ear cartilage. I only knew it was something like an open approach?
As time passed, there was a slight smell, and my nose also looked crooked.
It was my very first cosmetic surgery, and it was botched. And I put up with it for a long time~~
About 4-5 years ago, I was going to do my nose, breasts, and double-jaw surgery lol
I had all the consultations and was about to book, but something personal came up,
so I didn’t. I hadn’t been thinking about double-jaw surgery, but they recommended it, so now I also think it was a good thing I didn’t do it then^^
Anyway, I kept thinking I’d get revision surgery once I had the money and time, and more than 10 years ended up passingㅠ
The plan was to do my nose and breasts first, set the nose as the center first, then after 6 months or 1 year, do ptosis correction.
My younger sibling (there’s a big age gap between us) said they were going for a facial contouring consultation,
so going around together seems to have led me to choose the wrong hospital.
I told my sibling, since it’s surgery that touches bone, you especially need to look into it carefully...
No... since I chose the hospital, I guess it’s my own luck..
But why is it different when consulting with the patient versus when doing the surgery?
First, I said what I wanted was nostril reduction, nasal tip/alar lobule reduction, and bulbous nose correction.
During consultation, they said it would be closed approach and only with septal cartilage.
Since my nose was slightly upturned and short in length, they said they would make the nasal tip project downward/longer,
but that didn’t mean the nose would become very long... That’s how I understood it.
Every hospital I went to said the same thing after looking at my nose~ Only details differed, like whether to use septal cartilage, ear cartilage, both, and aftercare.
And they said they would scrape away a little fat from the nasal tip/alar lobule, but even if scraped, it grows back... anyway.
They also said they would slightly raise the nasal bridge.
But then..
After an 8-hour surgery, I woke up from anesthesia and looked at the camera on my phone, and they had used ear cartilage too.
The nasal bridge had gotten higher, and the nose length came down just slightly below the nasal tip,
but as the swelling went down, it wasn’t contracture, but it had gone up a little.
It had become much longer upwardㅠㅠ My old nose’s line started at the double eyelid.
Now the line starts between my eyebrows.. The silicone line was visible,
and now between my eyebrows (glabella), there’s a crease in the shape of the end of the silicone.
And why is only one breast lol causing trouble?
On the day I went to have my nose stitches removed and the day I went to have the armpit stitches removed, the rhinoplasty doctor said
we’d meet in June^^
When I said I wanted to see him, they said it would be difficult.. hahaha and that I’d have to wait a long time.
I kind of felt that things were different before and after surgery.
Yes.. haha because my surgery was over?
The manager contacts you once in a while asking how the progress is going, right?
Even when I take and send photos, they say it’s okay and pretty lol
They say it’ll look even better once the swelling goes down lol
The more the swelling goes down, the wider and lower my nose looks lol
I was extremely stressed for a few days...
Then I let go of the stress with the thought that if it really doesn’t seem right, after 6 months or 1 year, if the timing works, I’ll get revision surgery.
I am taking photos every day, though.
