Double eyelid surgery, third revision

Hi everyone. I’m shy and it’s only day 3 after surgery, so I don’t have photos or anything yet,, but from my revision surgery through my third surgery, I think I got a lot of help from this community whenever I felt anxious or needed information, so I’m leaving this modest review in the hope that it helps. I had incisional double eyelid surgery when I was twenty, and it was pretty decent, but I was worried about the line on my right eye coming undone and the asymmetry, so two years ago I went to a hospital around Sinsa that was said to be famous for revision surgery at the time and had a revision. Back then, since I was doing it anyway, I wanted to raise the double eyelid height, but among the 4-5 places I visited, some directors told me not to raise it, and many recommended a forehead lift too, but that felt burdensome, so I think I just had it done by a doctor who said they could raise it without a lift. I also liked the after photos. Now, 2.5 years after the revision surgery, my right eye’s line has come undone like before surgery, so the line was misaligned and the multiple crease was severe (other people don’t notice when my eyes are open, but it stresses me out..!), and for both eyes, the double eyelid line was designed to get thinner toward the outer corner of the eye (only the line around the middle of the eye is thick). I hated the awkward line, so thinking this would really be the last time, I looked into several hospitals and eventually decided to go with the director who has a one-doctor clinic, has many reviews saying the aftercare is reliable, and has the longest experience. When I actually went for the consultation, before I even mentioned the problems above, the doctor pointed them out accurately! Both of my previous two surgeries had been done under sedation anesthesia, but while having surgery this time, I thought double eyelid surgery really should be done under local anesthesia. (They marked the line once before I entered the operating room, and I think they spent about 20 minutes just setting the line after I lay down on the operating table. During surgery too, I got up two or three times to have the line checked.) After having this surgery, I also felt that even though I thought I had researched and visited places properly, I had been fooled by apps and heavily edited photos and chosen hospitals too easily. Everyone who is having a revision or more, (of course the first surgery is really important too, but from revision surgery onward, I feel like the desperation is real..) choose your hospital really carefully, and if there’s something before surgery that makes you think, “Is this really okay?” put it on hold one more time. Several places told me to lower the line with a two-line excision because I didn’t have enough spare skin, but now I think it was good that I kept the existing line as is. My revision scar was already severe, so I worried about the scar from a two-line excision for my third surgery until the very end, and in the end I canceled surgery at that hospital. As people who had successful surgeries always emphasize, I think the director’s consultation and the hospital’s aftercare policy are really important. And I also think you really need to reconsider large hospitals (including hospitals that do surgeries as if mass-producing them, even if they have a 1-2 doctor system) and hospitals that do a lot of advertising. Also, although local anesthesia hurts so, so much, I recommend it because you can know how the surgery is progressing and they can set the line much more meticulously (of course it depends on the hospital). Everyone who came here is probably either about to have their first surgery or worrying about a revision, right? I hope all of you choose your hospital and director carefully and have a pretty surgery with no regrets!!
