The natural adhesion double eyelid surgery I had 4 years ago came undone, and my left eye kept forming multiple creases, so every time I saw photos others took of me or selfies, it bothered me. So I had revision surgery about 2 weeks ago. During the consultation, they said it had come undone because of my Mongolian fold, so I would need epicanthoplasty and they would have to cut some of the orbicularis oculi muscle for it not to come undone again. I didn’t think much of it and immediately booked the revision surgery. But since then, I’ve hated how I look so much that I cry every dawn. I keep thinking, I should never have had revision surgery... or I should have gone to more consultations and looked up side effects more. Why did I make such a stupid, impulsive choice... I really don’t know what possessed me back then. I didn’t think to look anything up, got the revision surgery, and now I’m searching for side effects and reconstruction reviews, feeling anxious and regretful. I feel so stupid and foolish, and I hate myself for it. My parents paid for it with money they worked hard to earn, and I feel so sorry Is there anyone here who had epicanthoplasty with the skin-repositioning method and had side effects like vertical wrinkles, interruption of the under-eye aegyo-sal, or disappearance of the aegyo-sal, but then got better with time? I want to believe these are temporary symptoms from swelling that hasn’t gone down yet, that they’ll disappear with time and aren’t side effects, but it’s honestly so hard
쌍수휴 I really relate to how you feel. I was also told that because of my Mongolian fold, I needed epicanthoplasty to keep it from coming undone. I didn’t want to do it, but I trusted the director because they were more of an expert than me and left it to them. Then I got scars under my eyes and my under-eye aegyo-sal got interrupted, so I can’t even cover it with makeup, and it shows in photos too, so I’m under a lot of stress. I’m looking into clinics for full restoration. They say scars can improve with time, but first, try contacting the clinic and asking about aftercare or what you should do
