I was trying to gather information, so I lurked in open group chats for quite a long time, and I also did online research for over 3 months, quite a long time, then narrowed it down to four places and booked only doctor consultations, and went to the hospitals last month! I went in with a rough idea of the style or line each doctor pursues, the line I want, and how far it would be possible with my body.
My frame is very thin, but my rib cage is large, my waist is short, and I do have hips, but they sit very high, so my body is difficult to sculpt lines on. (That’s why I chose the hospital even more carefully) I’m in the early 160 cm range, weight in the late 50 kg range, BMI fluctuates between 21-22.
1. Gyodae Number - Director ㅇㅅㅇ
If I were to do it at Number, I went there thinking I would definitely get surgery from Director ㅇㅎㅈ (there is a 10% additional fee for the vice director and director..), but since I’m not from Seoul... I had no choice but to consult with this person because matching schedules was hard...ㅠㅠ; They checked the ultrasound very kindly, and more than anything, they told me which areas I shouldn’t do, so when the next hospital recommended those areas, I was able to refuse coldly haha. That part made me trust them, and they consulted so kindly that if I ever do my arms, I’d definitely go to this person. (They were already just famous for arms anyway..) The consultant talked quite a lot and kept telling me things I already knew, so my ears almost bled, but still... kind... friendly... I felt the staff training was good. It’s fixed pricing, so I didn’t really expect a discount. If you book quickly, it seems they give a 10% discount... I left without booking.
2. ㄹㄹㅈ - Director ㅈㄱㅌ
Here... I saw it on ㅂㅂㅌ and liked the reviews, and somehow thought they would extract as much as possible from my body, so I consulted there. First, I arrived 20 minutes earlier than my appointment time, but they said I would have to wait an hour, so I was a bit stunned. While waiting, I got a bit irritated and stood up saying it was fine if I didn’t do it here, then they gave me a gown and did InBody..;;; Even after InBody, I waited for ages again, so I said again that it was fine if I didn’t do it, and then I had a consultant consultation. ㅋㅋㅋ First of all, event..? or whatever... I asked them to give me an estimate for certain areas, but they gave estimates for areas I didn’t ask for, so I was flustered. (I wonder why they ask you to write on paper at first which areas you came to consult about) From the information I heard here and there... I knew prices vary widely, but like live-fish market price... it changed. At first they quoted low 4 million won range for upper body and low 7 million won range for lower body, then maybe my reaction seemed odd, they started saying review discount discount discount and quoted late 3 million won range for upper body and mid 6 million won range for lower body.. It was just like, huh? That itself. Huh. I came out and waited about... 10 or 15 minutes, and when I frowned, they immediately had me consult with the doctor. Anyway, during the consultant consultation, I had already eliminated them in my mind. Reason -> Since I’m not from Seoul, I’m sensitive about time, and if even a consultation appointment is like this, there’s no guarantee they’ll keep surgery time or aftercare accurately either. When I went into the doctor consultation... they looked quite exhausted. It was around 4 o’clock lol... Well... they checked the ultrasound and, well... just... said my legs were the type that comes out well. It just ended like that... They said they would make about 7-8 incisions total for upper and lower body.
3. ㅂㅂㄹㅇ - Director ㅈㅎㅇ
I went to the hospital and it was quiet, felt like I was the only one there..? As if they had been waiting, everything moved along immediately in one smooth process: I changed clothes, then went into the doctor consultation wearing a nipple sticker + disposable panties + gown. Here, she speaks in a bold female-general style (I thought some people might feel hurt..) I only consulted for upper body, and she accurately told me that my body was quite difficult. She clearly separated what didn’t need to be done and what was possible, but if you add the possible parts, the price becomes quite expensiveㅋㅋㅋ ㅠㅠ She said there is almost no fat in the upper abdomen, so no need to make incisions under the breasts. So the number of incisions would be 7-8 (two at the navel). For hip joints, hip dips, or buttock fat grafting, she said I could decide after seeing how much the love handles and saddlebags get refined. She didn’t recommend it. But here, they charge an additional fee for body fat. I never expected that..^^ㅎ... There is an extra charge from body fat 33 and above, and mine was 40.x, so the extra fee was 2 million won. Abdomen 3.6 million + upper buttocks + pubic area (genital area) added, and the estimate came out in the very low 8 million won range, excluding compression garment.. Here the compression garment is optional. That amount includes all review writing and photo provision. After the consultation, I was so shocked that I stood blankly on the street for 20 minutes like a tragic female lead who lost her family and entire fortune all at once.
4. ㅃㄴㄱㅃ I couldn’t go because the consultation schedule time didn’t match...ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ It’s a shame, the only place I feel sorry about missing.
Upper body booking - ㅂㅂㄹㅇ I need to have surgery in September, but they said they only accept reservations at least two months in advance, so I’m going back to Seoul on 8/1 to book again lol When I asked if there was any way to get a discount, they said for every 1 point my body fat decreases, the price drops by 200,000 won, so I should lose weight. I’m exercising like crazy ㅠ
Lower body booking - Gyodae Number, Director ㅇㅎㅈ I contacted them about 2 weeks after returning home... and whined asking for a discount. For lower body, I haven’t fixed an exact date. I’ve just put down the reservation deposit.. I think I can set a date for lower body only after doing upper body ㅠ And since I saw a lot of posts saying the balance with the calves looks off if you only do thighs/under-buttocks/knees, I booked calves together too. They said there is a separate doctor who only does calves, so they promised that if I let them know at least two months before surgery, they would do everything in one day, and I booked..! Excluding compression garment, think low 5 million won range for thighs/under-buttocks/knees/calves, and including compression garment, mid 5 million won range (amount after receiving 10% thigh discount and 5% calf discount).
