If I’m getting revision rhinoplasty because I want it to look a bit more dramatic, would it be better to use costal cartilage..? I like styles like The Door and that kind of look, and when I looked, they seemed to use costal cartilage a lot. But autologous costal cartilage and donated costal cartilage, can I just decide based on recommendations Is there a big difference? I know there’s a big price difference, but I’m curious whether there is ultimately a difference in the result.
cyb3rgirl Hmm, ultimately donated costal cartilage is absorbed more easily. I heard that if it’s recognized as a foreign material, it dissolves and disappears. But if not, aside from the chance of inflammation, I think it’s similar.
